    Heavy Mace

I houseruled the following for the Heavy Mace: 1) 1-Handed: Weapon size is Medium. 2) 1-Handed: Sunder is not allowed. 3) 2-Handed: As described, no change. This results in a very good weapon, but not out of sync with the other weapons.

    Heavy Mace

But this is far worse than beeing large from scratch. Ok, maybe I could try this... ok, but for the record it seems that you all agree with me that it is simply a mistake as the Heavy Mace is out of it's logical bounds. Maybe I will simply drop the weapon from the list of allowed...

    Heavy Mace

Well, but beeing Large instead of Small or Medium is an even bigger feature and also no other onehanded weapon is bigger than medium.

    Heavy Mace

One of my players just showed me that the Heavy Mace (Arms of Legend p. 64+72) is by FAR the most powerful one-handed weapon in the game: a) The only 1H weapon that has Large damage. b) The only 1H weapon that has the Sunder CM. c) With 11/7 very low requirements for a 2H weapon used 1H. d)...

    Learning Combat Styles

Yes, I agree, a line or two to explain this in the rule book would be nice ;) Though I would simply drop that they are common skills and make them advanced. I play it at the moment that it is always possible to use a weapon you are not used to at your Base Melee or Ranged Combat Style value...

    Learning Combat Styles

I'm a bit confused. If I look at the table on page 74, it states that it will cost 150 silver to learn a new Combat Style. However on page 13: This sounds for me as if they were free to learn. Does it require 1 month + 150 silver to learn a new Combat Style or is it free? Or do I miss...

    Having Fun With Spreadsheets

Excel 2010, in older versions at least the Iferror function is missing.

    Having Fun With Spreadsheets

Ok, I see your problem, but I don't think another column is either needed nor good, as it would waste too much space. Remember, this is a character sheet, designed for playing with, not only something to calculate everything. You can modify the total number of skill points (in AM27) and you...

    Having Fun With Spreadsheets

It's a finished character sheet, including all the maths. Though it is an Excel sheet it does not contain any Macros. Meaning you can open it with Open Office. Have fun: http://riegler.name/Legend_Character_Sheet.zip

    Having Fun With Spreadsheets

Hm... I did that the first day I decided to do a campaign with MRQ2 :D I have made a full character sheet with excel, including all the math and stuff. I's always the first thing I do when I try to learn a new system. It's a good way to remember and understand everything.

    Complete Legend

Wow, looks great! Are there anywhere Word, RTF or text files with the OGL or have you extracted it from the PDF?

    Complete Legend

The idea with creating my own Rulebook out of the OGL sounds great! Then I only need to find some good printing service and get it bound. Is Lulu.com doing single print runs for books? But to be honest I would prefer a professionaly designed book ;) Blood Magic... I never checked that. I...

    Complete Legend

Well 150$... hm... :? To be honest I think I would be willing to pay around 100$ for such a tome. If it really looks as great as I could think of (as leather bound) and would contain everything needed to play. But yes, I assume my chance of getting it is quite small, at least if not another...

    Complete Legend

Hi All, My first post here, so sorry for the bad English (I'm German) ;) I'm a VERY old school player and I started a campaign with MRQ2 shortly before it was renamed to Legend and of course I bought all of the physical MRQ2 rule books. After downloading the Errata and later the Legend PDF I...

RuneQuest with the Middle-earth/Lord of the Rings setting

Wow, now I'm impressed how much taste can vary. I still consider the old MERP stuff the best modules I ever read. Sometimes I only bought them to read them (I mean I did not want to play them). On the other hand I don't like the look and feel of the new school products, which look like a Manga...
