    Computer Scientist

Well, since no one seems to think it will destroy the fabric of the universe, I guess I'll just allow it then.

    Computer Scientist

I've recently realised that Computer Use can't be chosen as a primary area of expertise by a scientist. I find that weird. I know you can get pretty much the same result with a white collar worker but that class is globally much less interesting. But more than that, from a purely role playing...

    Sinclair on Janos 7

I read somewhere (probably in the galactic guide) that Sinclair had crashed on Janos 7 during the ofensive by general Franklin there. Is that something invented for the book or was it mentionend in an episode? If it's from an episode and you know which, I'd like to know.

Babylon 5 2nd Ed still under production?

In the same line, a book on the chronology of the galaxy would be great. Start with Lorien and the speakers, to the shadows, the other first ones, the middle born, the minbari, centauri empire, dilgar war, the series, the telepath war, crusade, all the way to the humans going to the Vorlon home...

    Campaign ideas requested

I think you're off to a really good start. The thing that would worry me the most with these characters would be finding a reason for them to stick together. You have many characters that don't seem to have much in common and a few who could easily be considered natural enemies. But if your...

    "Access" to credits

Now that makes a whole lot of sense! Thanks!

    Piloting a shuttle

Would you use Pilot or Operations (Piloting) for something like a Centauri shuttle? It can carry many people so it's technically not a solo craft. On the other hand, it has a single pilot and some passengers so the actual crew is only 1.

    "Access" to credits

Political influence can give you a "grant" of (for example) 500 credits. That's pretty clear. On the other hand, economic influence can give you "access" to (for example) 1000 credits. What does that exactly mean? Is it a interest-free loan? Is it a gift like the grant?

    Loren's ship

Wow! Didn't remember that one. That IS cool.

    Beyond the Rim

That does make sense but it is also entirely possible that there actually is something between the galaxies that we just don't know about and don't understand. Especially if ancients have been going there since the beginning. Even if there originally was just empty space there, billions of years...

    And so it begins…

If some of you are interested, I could possibly scan the map I made of the Concordia (the ship in my scenario). While I'm at it, I could post the NPCs too.

    Spliting influence rewards

I'm going to give my players influence reward for their latest accomplishment. I've established that the one worth 5 points is appropriate from the description ("significant help" or something like that) but I wonder how to deal with the fact that they're a group. Do I give 5 points to each...

Ship combat: who can do what?

In ship combat, people can only occupy one role per round. That means that if you don't have enough people for all the stations, you have to move people from round to round because (for example): a gunner can't make a sensor roll. But everyone can make a computer use roll and computer use can...

    Telepathy as move action

The book states that telepathic abilities with "standard" listed as their action can be used as a move or attack action. I was already told on this forum that you still could not use two move actions to activate two powers but still, I realised it was much more powerful than I thought. It means...

    And so it begins…

After over two years of reading over 15 B5 book, I finally started my first game Friday and it was a great success! I started with a bang as many have suggested and it worked just fine. I went for the direct approach: hostage situation on a starliner. The PCs got together because the terrorists...
