    Doors and Door Pressures

You're just talking about a bulkhead, not a hole in the hull, right, because I thought that the hull points was the integrity of the hull, while a point of structure lost was a bulkhead that makes up the structure of the ship breaking. See, I wish the advanced combat rules in high guard was more...

    Doors and Door Pressures

The damage points to make a hole in a bulkhead is just what the book says. Keep in mind that this is not the hull of the ship, I'm guessing that the use of bulkheads is much like they are used in modern seacraft, where the "hull" of the ship is actually comprised of several bulkheads, so the...

I agree, I wish the barrier system was improved. Maybe have something like shadowrun has, where barriers have what is essentially a structure rating and an armor rating.

you multiply starship weapon damage by 50 to get the personal scale damage.

    Doors and Door Pressures

I believe its 1000 points of personal scale damage. Hull walls hold until the hull value goes to 0, I think. At that point the hull is assumed to be completely compromised, and all remaining attacks go through to the interior of the ship. If you think about it, it really doesn't take that many...

    Doors and Door Pressures

According to that book, partitions will suffer structural failure at 100 points of explosive or large energy damage. Bulkheads (which is all external walls), take 1000 points of explosive or energy damage, before a person sized hole is punched in it.

I know, but it seems weird that Mongoose would use these things like hatches and iris valves, and not ever say anything about them, like they don't say even important for gameplay things, like the fact that iris valves are hard to open, or how much damage is needed to breach bulkheads or partitions

In Adventure 1 The Kinunir, in 1979 Traveller, it has exactly what I was thinking of, but I was sure there was a modern book that had exactly that. Also Bulkheads vs. Partition walls were explained there.

    Doors and Door Pressures

Once again, I have this problem where I could have sworn there was something about this in a traveller book, but I can't find it in any of mine. This time its starship doors. I could have sworn there was something somewhere about what doors are on a starship (iris valves, hatches, just regular...

    Ship Sensors and communications

Looks like those are just the rules from strongholds. I don't know, I just remember something talking about how to erect a communications network using the different types of communicators. Also that one as well does not give a cost difference between maser and laser, when the CRB explains that...

    Ship Sensors and communications

While rereading the core rulebook again for the Nth time, I noticed that while the book gives ranges for Visual, EM, and Thermal sensors, none of the sensor packages I have ever seen includes them. Are they just included on all sensors? Also, what communications does a ship use, radio? Speaking...

    Mongoose Traveller Extended UWP

My FLGS said that they have a copy on their cheap rack, so I'll go get that sometime.

    Mongoose Traveller Extended UWP

Yeah, there seems to be a good amount of information for the small details. Maybe I'll look for a cheap copy.

    Mongoose Traveller Extended UWP

Yeah, It's just very weird to both be given things but at the same time not be given things. When I used to run Shadowrun, things were very different, I felt like I was given pretty much everything.

Mercenary 2nd Edition AP rules vs Central Supply CatalogueAP

Well I mean, yeah, the reason why gauss is so effective is because the standard gauss rounds are electromagnetically charged needles being accelerated at tremendous velocity. So it makes sense that it should be able to penetrate most armor of equal or lower tech level. The needles are so hard...
