    Wayfarer

Personally, I love the core magic system (although including Elric's summoning rules would be cool). As far as runes go, they are a good tool to structure your cosmology and cults when you are world building (especially on the fly), but they could easily just be called 'archetypes.'

So how well is MRQ2 selling anyway?

GGroy over at the RPG Site posted this link to Alliance Game Distributors that shows a ton of RQII stuff as discontinued (even fairly new stuff like Spellcom). Should we be worried? http://www.alliance-games.com/publicaccess/results.asp?SearchArg=RuneQuest+RPG&list=By_Game_System He also...

So how well is MRQ2 selling anyway?

I went MRQII shopping last night at my FLGS, and I have to admit a bit of frustration. I'm running a homebrew sword and sorcery setting and what I'm really looking for are more toolkits, not more Glorantha setting information. I wound up picking up the Elric Cults book, because it seemed to...

Increasing skill levels -- House Rule.

Below is the experience/advancement/fate point system I used for a campaign that ran for about 8 months a few years ago. Worked like a charm for us: 1-3 Xp per session, playing every two weeks, average of two Xp per session. We never expected the campaign to go on forever. Cost to increase a...

So how well is MRQ2 selling anyway?

Dodging the piracy issue (and since I work in Business Affairs for a Television Production company, I do have an opinion), I often think that these threads wherein old gamers talk about how gamers are getting older suffer from a bit of self-selection. The extended gaming circle I've formed...

    Unarmed Combat Question

Never in a million years would I have looked at the skill description. The weapon tables, yes. The combat rules, of course. The description of DM, obviously. For some reason, listing damage with the skill never occurred to me! Thanks!

    Unarmed Combat Question

Hey All, So at the risk of seeming dense, can anyone tell me what the base damage is for an unarmed attack? I can't seem to find where it is expressly written in the corebook. I was originally thinking that was normally just a Character's Damage Modifier, but the prospect of one of my PCs...

Battle of the Screens (RQII vs. Elric)

So, can anyone tell me whats wrong with the Generic RQII screen? What does it have on each panel?

Amazon must hate me or the Mongoose!

Add another voice of Canadian Concern to the mix. Very few Mongoose books are now available on Chapters and Amazon.ca no longer seems to have your items available.

    Running Merchant Campaigns

I thought the 'paperwork' would suck the joy out of my mercantile oriented campaign. But then at the end of one of my first sessions this fall, I busted out the core book's tables and my players and I rolled up all the frieght tables, passengers (including who they were) and whatnot. Now they're...

What SM subsector to start in...

I just started mine on Regina since I could offer the PCs three directions to head in that corresponded with different campaign flavors. Currently they are making their way down the Lanth main. And may I say that I actually prefer not looking at my copy of Behind the Claw? It is a remarkable...

    Games in progress census

I'm also running a game in lovely Toronto, Ontario. It's a bog-standard sandbox/free trader game run entirely using MGT materials. If it ain't in the mongoose books then I'm either not worrying about it or treating it as canon. We have been going strong since November and myself and the...

    New Traveller Character Sheet

Heresy, I know... but is there any way I can grab a soft copy of the original sheet? I really kind of liked my players to have an easy time tracking how much the stats had degenerated.

    Paying the bills

Ok, in all fairness this hasn't come up in my campaign yet, but here are the thoughts I'm going to throw out for my Imperium. 1) The Imperium controls the space and trade between worlds. In my TU that means that a noble gets a piece of every interstellar trade transaction depending upon where...

    A Combat Droid question.

My guess would be that a purpose built combat droid should have at least a zero level in its relevant attacks. Any more than that is dependent upon how a deadly a threat you want it to be. As for the 'standard' attacks, I kind of took it as meaning that although these robots physically could...
