    [Warning!]Production Schedule Affecting Beer Supply

When I saw the subject, I thought you were discussing a plot idea. Now, I've got a Traveller version of "Smokey and the Bandit" stuck in my head.

Favourite (possibly unrealistic) setting to convert?

It would be nice if you could get the Known Space / Ringworld license, as IMHO Traveller would be a better ruleset than the old, BRP-ish version.

On Moving Planets and other Impossible Projects

I'm not sure if this was brought up in the previous thread, but the OTU did have a Rosette system, although there wasn't much information on it. IIRC, all the planets were in a range favorable to Droyne/Ancients. There was also a mention of an unfunished Ringworld, but I've seen even less on that.

    Planet Crackers

Now would be a good time to mention the "How to Destroy the Earth" web site: http://qntm.org/?destroy

    A Real 'Core World'

If you like it, then do it! While it is nice to base closely off of current science, in the end, most players won't hold you to rigorous astrophysics, as long as they enjoy the setting.

    Games and Recreation in Traveller

Having been reading Poul Anderson lately, I can imagine "interactive, improvisational drama" (pretty much LARP) being popular among ship crews. It encourages social interaction, and gets people away from staring at screens all day.

Looking for a complete adventure path for Traveller

It shows up Ebay pretty regularly. As of this post, there's one listed for ~$25, but you could probably get one for ~$20 if you were willing to wait. It's also listed on the CT CD collection; does anyone here have it in that format?

Looking for a complete adventure path for Traveller

You could pick up a copy of "The Traveller Adventure." IMHO, one of the best campaign adventure books ever. It was written for CT, but you can almost convert it on the fly to MGT.

    Aging ships

Regular jumping could also be the biggest contributor to wear and tear on starships. Crossing into and out of normal space, and spending a week surrounded by hydrogen and a highly inimical energy field, can't be good for equipment. If a ship was not jumping regularly, I would stetch the...

    Ancient(s)

Another goofy alternate concept: - while building jump drives isn't that hard, coming up with the working concept is very difficult, and horribly non-intuitive to most intelligent species - their brains just aren't wired to perceive the concept as viable enough to test it - many advanced...

    [Ships] Atmospheric Speeds?

If you're looking at hot, 1 kbar conditions, wouldn't hydrogen embrittlement be a potential problem? Also, H2 leaking through seals could be considered more dangerous than water leaks, so you may be looking at having positive pressure seals around any openings in the hull. For game purposes...

    What TL is Traveller?

GITS would be great with TS, but would require a lot of detail and attention from both the GM and players. Difficult, but potentially worth it. Also remember that an RPG universe tends to be more open-ended than a book or series. When multiple people start filling in details of the same...

    What TL is Traveller?

I would love to see someone update the Ringworld RPG. The technology level is certainly higher than base OTU, although it could be argued that a lot of Ancient trappings are based on Ringworld elements. And while a lot of Known Space fiction does address the social impacts of technology, the...
