    Sumner and Gearing Class DD's

There's a fifth book in the series: Exodus, but Weber isn't involved. It's just Steve White and someone called Shirley Meier. It's good, but be warned, it's only the first part of the story. I'm expecting either a sequel or a trilogy.

    Subs?

No, it's if CRIPPLED they can no longer submerge. They tend to be dead very shortly thereafter.

    New Victory at Sea Products

I wouldn't say "messed up". I'd rather have an imperfect product than no product (though a perfect product would be the best option).

Axis and Allies minis for VAS?

We use the A&A minis in our group. We find they work pretty well.

    Subs?

The subs are never on the surface. They appear from hiding submerged, and use torpedoes alone. Limited numbers of torps would help, but as-is we go after the subs at two-to-one odds (two destroyers per sub) and expect to lose both destroyers. The problem is, torpedoes have a better range than...

    Subs?

I've been scanning this board, and finding that, in many plces, the submarine is considered underpowered or useless. Now, my gaming group has found exactly the opposite: submarines, in numbers, are undefeatable. Simply put, in any fight where there isn't a time limit, and especially if the...

    BF Evo, future weapons

Yeah, but it bears repeating. Plus, just because something is in development doesn't mean that it's being taken seriously as a deployable weapon system. For instance, the US is considering a railgun on their next generation tank. This doesn't necessarilly mean that railguns are deployable yet...

Oi - It's Minbari, Not Kilrathi!

That's right. LIDAR systems are under development by the US navy, as it has certain advantages over RADAR. LIDAR isn't useful for wide-ranging scanning, like RADAR is, because of the direct nature of the beams. But if you spot an incomer with RADAR, then lock him up with LIDAR, you can then...

A:2089 - The origins of the Tiger Combine Warmeks???

Sounds like the South Koreans have ben watching the US closely. That eight wheeled model looks rather like some of the designs I've seen for the FUTURE WARRIOR combat drones the Army's developing.

    RE:ARMAGEDDON 2089

Bring it in saturday, I'll take a look. I'm pretty good at editing, and I can certainly give you some feedback.

    Different Perspectives Needed

Kyu Kage, I have the Soldier's Companion if you want to borrow it.

New Armageddon 2089, do Mongoose need playtesters?

And count Kyu Kage as having at least one player, too.

Planet of The Apes - Based on the Charlton Heston Version

Yeah, that could work. Spacers, Gorilla Cavalry, Mutants, free humans - could work. Just so long as nobody lets on that the "sequel movie" was evermade...

    Things you shouldn't do.

"Primary" as in primary backer. Our job was to find the Raiders and all the information about them; now, we've found their base (apparently) and the forces we assembled to deal with them have been orrdered to stand down! I don't even know what I'm supposed to be doing!

    Things you shouldn't do.

We didn't get kicked off, we had to leave to continue our investigation. Never mind the fact that we seem to have been abandoned by our primary...
