What kind of software would you like to see?

I'll have to look at what I have at home, but I had a programme (think it was called Tradepostv2?) that sorted out the cargo handling. And there was another programme I had that quickly made up NPCs for me, with a handful of useful skills. I'll check them out this evening and see if I can post...

    Introducing new players to Traveller

There was a list posted up by 'Mugwump' (full credits & respect for finding it as well) on the TMP site that I give to players new to Traveller - apparently it could be found on www.travellerrpg.com at one time: 1. Three words: "Shotguns in space". 2. Light dimmers can be used to simulate jump...

PC Sheets and other Gaming Aids

I did put this on another thread, but this might be better placed here. I use this for generating NPC names, draw up a table of 20 or so and strike them out as I go..... http://www.kleimo.com/random/name.cfm Setting the 'obscurity' up above 85+ gets some wacky names... Let me know if it...

    Low Passage & Low Berths

I agree with this house-rule too, makes better sense, especially if your law enforcement / bounty hunter - then again it would save on court expenses and prison overcrowding.... Going to include this in my campaigns n the future

    Mongoose's Planned Books

Well, Robots seems to have a serious fan base, so I'll suggest something different - are there plans (or have I just missed it somewhere else) for looking at 'Snapshot'?

    New Character Sheet

Excellent work from everyone here, very impressed - many thanks for your support and ideas. And to share an idea, I've always used the following to generate quick reference tables of NPC names: http://www.kleimo.com/random/name.cfm Try it, and let me know what you think.

Funny sided dice and strange Ideas

Have to say that all the other games I've been involved in over the past few years all use polyhedrals of some form or other, as do a few wargame rules. So - there's something quite homely and friendly in coming back to D6s that just reinforce the best traditions of Traveller....

    Mercenary: Expectations?

I'm relatively new to this Forum but Traveller has been the game of interest whenever I've run an RPG campaign. And CT Book 4 helped provide the foundation for many of those campaigns. I echo Serene-Muse's call for more background detail and examples - this would add enormous depth to the...

First Impressions From Mongoose Traveller (re-post)

Golan, My compliments on your extensive review - many thanks for taking the time to do that. Convinced me (an old CT grumbler that loathed a lot of the later 'variants') to invest in a copy of the Main Rulebook. Many thanks.

What was your 1st edition of Traveller?

Early 80's and it was the Deluxe set - it was the inclusion of the Spinward Marches map that sold it to me to be honest...
