I use PDF's for fast reference and portability.
But I HAVE to have a hardcopy during game prep. A legal pad, pencil and deadtree book are essential to my creative process for game/session prep. The computer is to organize and make things pretty once I have decided where I am going.
I noticed that there is a supplement for ACTA:SF on the release list called Battle Groups. The link goes to the Fleets of the Fading Suns description and I only found one passing mention of it on Planet Mongoose and I came up dry on the forum.
So what will the supplement cover?
Thanks for the list. I knew about a lot of the manufacturers on the list but most are in direct sales only, not distribution.
I did locate what appears to be the only Historical Miniature distributor in the western US (this is where you all jump in saying "not true" and post all kinds of...
Well too bad. For me anyway
I know that there are a lot of people that really look forward to the WW2 game, but I'm not one of them. Nothing against the game itself, but the play and overall feel is completely different when you add fighters into it. No matter how you cut it...
Back to the OP. There isn't a real reason need separate the forums.
All that need be done is to enforce basic forum etiquette and make people preface subjects. If the thread is about Noble Armada you start the subject line with [NA]. If Star Fleet, [SF].
You can even be more specific...
OK, then I have a question. All the positive comments about VaS 2.0. tells me that 2.0 is a better version of the game. I am assuming that AoD 1.0 followed VaS 1.0 and that if I want AoD that takes advantage of the 2.0 rule improvements I would need to wait for VaS 2.0 to be followed by AoD 2.0.
Well if WW1 ever gets released I'm in.
Never was very interested in WW2 naval with the coming of the carrier born aircraft.
Aircraft just suck the fun right out a game for me
Though I readily understand others disagree with me.
On the bright side, by the time a WW1 version...
There is a difference in bases? I just looked and all the bases for my two fleet boxes and two squadron boxes are the same size.
A look at MGP's web site and there are small and large bases. Makes me wonder if they were miss-packed.
I really don't see why too many changes are needed.
The only thing that really seems to slow things down at all are tracking the criticals because of damage control and needing to know which weapon was disabled by said crit.
If you move by Squadron instead of individual ship and...
Hello all,
Sorry about starting a thread and then disappearing. Personal issues intruded into my gaming universe and unfortunately the real world seems to have won.
I was reading through the thread and it seemed to me that trying to balance things by point balance would be impossible...
I am in the middle of prepping for running Demo’s at my FLGS (need to finish painting and the layout/printing of my ‘training wheels’ ship cards) and we noticed an issue with the fleet build process. For pick-up games, demos or casual games this will not be an issue. But this will probably...
Woot! Got my Klingon and Federation fleet boxes. All resin except the shuttles. I only did a quick look but I didn't see any real flaws or misalignments.
Now it is power painting time. Less than 9 days till demo time at my FLGS.
