    Spotting targets

It sounds a little like the Ambush trait. I like how it worked out for you, I may have to incorporate something like that into my games too, at least for some games. -snick

    Question Suppression and "Allocated" dice

I can see how the 'keeping one fig hidden' maneuver of a unit looks a little munchkiny, I guess I don't think of it that way, but rather the defenders use of tactics to prevent their being suppressed vs the attackers use of their tactics, weapons, etc to first suppress them, then charge in and...

    Question Suppression and "Allocated" dice

It seems that one aspect of this discussion is about the ability for one squad to assault another squad that is in cover. I would think that any squad in cover would have an advantage, and it shouldn't be a forgone conclusion that a single assaulting unit can take them out. Multiple squads...

    Question Suppression and "Allocated" dice

The tactics in the game do change with the different suppression rules, and I have no idea how realistically either way simulates warfare in 1944. Each way seems reasonable to me and each one would require a different way of playing the game. Either way of suppression doesn't break the game...

    Question Suppression and "Allocated" dice

It works both ways. while one player 'hides' a fig to prevent the unit from bein supressed, the other player can 'cover' an area knowing that it is too big for an enemy unit to keep a fig hidden, effectivly pinning them w/o even shooting. Thus each player can use the same rule to their...

    Playsheet and Player's Guide

I like being able to say that the essentials rules fit on a single page! Good job on the Players Sheet in particular, and the game in general. -snick

    Tank vs Tank close combat

This leans towards ridiculous, but I don't see anything in the rules about tanks not close assaulting each other. The chances of doing real harm aren't very good though. It would rarely make sense to do this, if it is allowed. Perhaps as a second attack after using the main gun that turn. -snick

    Bombs and more Bombs.

You are right about the one shot, I forgot about that. Is there a way for a tank to crash into a building? I know that often it would take the tank many turns to reduce the building to ruble by firing it's main gun at it, though those big 100mm & 122mm soviet guns speed things up a bit! -snick

    Bombs and more Bombs.

Yes, Tanks are a tough nut for infantry to crack with Anti Tank Explosives. I thought too tough, but two thoughts tempered my disapointment. First, given the same point cost, an infantry unit and a tank would be in the same ballpark for chances of taking out the other. The second was...

    Leathal Zone question

never mind, found another thread that confirms it: Yes, all models get hit with the damage dice. My question arose from my first game, played yesterday, which was enjoyed by all. The rules make for a quick game with lots of tactics. More terrain is better! The question: My infantry squad...
