Summarized errata to the books and mini-adventures

More for Book #12 Section 272 instructs you to turn to section 85. It should instruct you to turn to section 285 instead. Mini-adventure: Wrong Action Chart! The Action Chart is for Lorkon Ironheart (from Book #11), NOT Captain Borse.

Summarized errata to the books and mini-adventures

Book 12: The SPINE of the book reads: "The Maters of Darkness". What an embarrassing error, and in plain sight when the book sits on your bookshelf! Mini-adventure in Book 12: The action chart is for Lorkon Ironheart (ie, for the umpteenth time, the mini-adventure action chart was...

    Printing errors resolution?

Agreed, my book #3 was promptly replaced as well, for which I was very grateful. Which led me to wonder, will any of the other books with "critical" errors be similarly replaced?

    Sommerswerd in New edition

Exactly! All of those precious herbs and potions you were saving for a critical moment... gone! That irked me too, which is why I decided to start this thread at Project Aon: http://projectaon.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1836

    Sommerswerd in New edition

Point taken... I didn't incorporate the double damage. That is definitely a huge help! But, only because the Helghast is undead... Yes, there are ways to encounter the Helghast when he has 34 CS even when you DON'T have the Sommerswerd. Ouch! That is one tough enemy. I barely survive that...

    Sommerswerd in New edition

In fact, this becomes quite commonplace! Even as early as book 8 the Gnaag Helghast is a full 10 CS more difficult if you have the Sommerswerd than he is without it (compare section 308 -- which you reach instantly by having the Sommerswerd -- to section 47 -- which is reachable only if you...

    Sommerswerd in New edition

I'm with you! I also felt there was a dramatic step up in difficulty in the Grandmaster series. Perhaps a bit too much. No sane Grandmaster Lone Wolf would willingly leave the Sommerswerd in his Vault for any of the Grandmaster missions (books 13-20)...

    Sommerswerd in New edition

You can recover all of your equipment before meeting Zahda. However, shortly before getting off of Kazan-Oud, you will lose your Backpack and all of its contents, and there is no avoiding this. But at least you get to keep your Special Items (like the Sommerswerd)!

Summarized errata to the books and mini-adventures

Book 8, back cover: Says "Warlord Zargon" but should read "Warlord Zegron" Last paragraph on back cover ends with: "each episode can be played separately or you can combine" and the rest is cut off.

    Printing errors resolution?

Thank you Mr. Sprange for your response. Now I have to ask the inevitable follow-up: Naturally, I'm wondering what counts as a "critical" error. Presumably nothing in the rules counts as critical, nor the Action Chart (or do they?). What about a missing Equipment section? I want to...

    Printing errors resolution?

No responses... does that mean there's no conclusion as to whether Mongoose is fixing the printing errors or not?

Summarized errata to the books and mini-adventures

Mini-adventure in Book 6: The section # 91 tells you to turn to section # 168. In section 91 you are riding towards Taunor Castle (on your way back to Varetta). In section 168 you are hitching your horse and knocking on the door at the Halfway Inn (still on your way back to Varetta). Was...

    Printing errors resolution?

Hello, I apologize if this has been asked before, but in light of the errors that have appeared in the most recent printing (book 13) I'd like to ask again. Like many, many others have voiced on this forum time and again, I was overjoyed at the reprinting of Lone Wolf. I dutifully and eagerly...

    Point of pre ordering?

I know it's probably not my place to defend Mongoose, but I feel obligated to point a few things out. First, when you pre-order from Mongoose, there is a disclaimer loud and clear that says, "We are a publisher, not an online ordering service." They are not Amazon. Have you ever noticed the...

New FFTD begining, better than the original (Spoilers?)

As a lifelong fan of Lone Wolf, I loved the new sections. However, I felt the new sections were intended for the fans, and not for newcomers. Case in point: I wanted to introduce Lone Wolf to a friend by reading the first book to them aloud, making the decisions together, etc. I chose the new...
