Spinal Mount Combat - Am I doing it right?

In addition to sensors needing a complete re-write the rules for spinal mounts and screens need a complete re-write.

    Visual Sensors - I Can't See Them

I reiterate and quote myself "the sensor rules are in need of a complete re-write"

    What Happened With Sky Raiders?

The Sky Raiders needs a much better "third book" The Traveller Adventure needs a much better introductory scenario.

    Visual Sensors - I Can't See Them

They are automatically included in even the basic sensor package: "Visual (all): Electronically-enhanced telescopes. Thermal (all): Picking up heat emissions. EM (all): Sensors detecting emissions across the electromagnetic spectrum from low-frequency radio waves to gamma rays. Radar/Lidar...

Point-Defence Laser Batteries in HG - Am I Holding This Right?

At what velocity does your plasma weapon become a particle accelerator? The limited range of plasma and fusion guns is likely doe to their "low velocity" compared with the near c PA and c speed of lasers (plus the plasma dispersion of course).

Point-Defence Laser Batteries in HG - Am I Holding This Right?

Good point, but I don't see why not, the space based point defence has more time to generate its targeting solution, and the ranges of point defence sensors in Striker, plus the ranges of the guns themselves, can comfortable achieve the PD role. More likely they just haven't looked back at it...

Point-Defence Laser Batteries in HG - Am I Holding This Right?

Traveller canon has rapid pulse plasma/fusion guns used in point defence in ground warfare, vehicle, and air combat all the way back the LBB:4 Mercenary. There should really be a ship mounted variant. Hmm, JTAS potential...

    Military ships and crew

You mean like Fire, Fusion and Steel, you start with the technical architecture and then build everything in the game using it. It worked very well for TNE And therin lies the rub of Mongoose Traveller, there is no internal consistency, nor can there be with abstract units that do not scale...

And where are the details of these corridors... the construction rules abstract to including walkways and corridors for major components as part of their tonnage.

    Military ships and crew

How do you know they have? After all every revision of a construction manual brings us closer to them eventually making the whole lot mesh and scale.

I want the details, you say you don't.

    Military ships and crew

In which case stick with the abstract and stop looking for details that are not supported except as referee fiat. I very much doubt that is the case, why do you think they put ship construction back in the core rulebook after the debacle of its removal in 2016?

The standard deckplan dimensions are two stacked 1.5m of a side cubes giving you "1 square" being 1.5x1.5x3. So yes, every corridor, room, bridge space, engineering room "square" has these dimensions unless you specify otherwise. The ceiling and the floor spaces subtract from that 3m - 2.5m...

    Military ships and crew

Mongoose core rules and High Guard define it as 14 cubic metres - the approximate volume of 1000kg of liquid hydrogen. For some inexplicable reason MegaTraveller and a couple of other iterations adopted the deck plan cube as the standard, 1.5x1.5x1.5, which makes no sense if a displacement ton...
