    Mating Airlocks to Cargo Hatches

Something is very wrong with the maths for that container illustration. The capacity is listed as 67.3 m3, and yet the internal dimensions given 2.25 x 2.28 x 11.56 = 59.3 m3

I agree. Using simple LBB:2 look up tables or HG80 percentages I can knock up a basic <hull - drives - bridge - computer - staterooms - cargo - hardpoints - vehicles> ship in a couple of minute. But when I design a ship for PC use I dig out FF&S and by the end of it have a ship with deck plan...

    JTAS 13-18 is here

I know I have already read all the books electronically but there is something special about turning the pages on the real books :) I have to decide where the TAS patch is going... (you really should offer merch like this...)

    JTAS 13-18 is here

Just took delivery, I now have to re-arrange my bookshelf. :) :) :)

    Ask MongooseMatt ANYTHING!!!

It was much simpler when a ship was hull - drives - bridge - computer - staterooms - cargo - hardpoints - vehicles The more you drill down and complicate, the more parts you have that have to fit together, the greater the unintended consequence... the 20t bridge really did a marvelous job of...

I would go one step further and ignore the ban on non-gravitic hull for planetoids. I hope that in the update it goes away. But until then it has to be a invocation of rule zero... :)

T5 says yes but only with a reaction drive, and it only effects your real world vector upon arrival, no effect on the jump itself. No gravitic drives, including the deep space drive, work in jump space.

Since I started it yes, I am in the right thread. 🐙 This is a thread about using the rules in HG(2022) to see what a TL7 to TL8 (and now to early TL9) with no gravitics and no fusion power plants may look like.

It needs steel and the polymer or whatever that does the self sealing. The self sealing feature doesn't even have a cost it is such a trivial add on.

Stick to the thread, no primitive stuff, just what is in High Guard 2022. Since you need gravitics to have a planetoid hull then there is a TL9 minimum... until the rules are changed anyway :)

An Alternate Take On Fabrication Rules

They used their monopoly on fusion+ technology as a lever of power...

Consider - --the cost of a 100t hull is the same at TL7 as TL15 --there is no mention of what hull material is

The rules say TL7 titanium steel armour, they do not mention what an unarmoured hull and structural bulkheads are made from. Also a basic hull costs the same regardless of TL, so are they made from the same material from TL7 until TL15 with no reduction in construction costs? The rules say yes.

An Alternate Take On Fabrication Rules

One of the things the Imperial economy does well is restrict inflation, this is mentioned in canon a few times IIRC, I will look it up.
