I tried to read the rules to that game but I couldnt get into it that much. It seemed more complicated than it was worth. How does the game actually play? Fun? How does it stack up to Mongoose Conan?

I have to disagree about 2nd edition. I liked it, and though some of the spells in Skelos were...somewhat out of step with REH style stuff, honestly, it wasnt THAT out of place. Really. And I will agree about Cimmeria. Really, there isnt any reason to go to Cimmeria in a game, that I can think...

I wouldnt call RQ fringe, but it really isnt mainstream outside of the RPG community.

Ill believe that theyre moving away from d20 when I see Matt come on the boards and announce it. No reading between the lines, no assumptions, no nothing. We THOUGHT we were getting atlases and other stuff like that, and we aint. So until we hear it from the horses mouth, Im not assuming anything.

Well, from what Ive read, the thing was light on both fluff AND crunch. And besides Conan, an LOTR game is one of the few where I WILL read the fluff to it and enjoy it. What was in it? Was the magic system weak and the monsters or what?

But the thing is, what if the movie is really good? What if they want MGP to do a Conan 4E game?
