    Empires: Thank you, Mongoose

Bravo, Mongoose. This is much appreciated.

Going Dippy for Conan Rpg in 2010

What a difference a year makes... I assume that both the "Sack a City" campaign and "Save a Kingdom" adventure are dead and buried by now? Pity. I'd kill a dozen civilized men and plunder their manors for that Sack a City book.

Thief's Companion back on the block?

Amazon.ca's alerted me that they expect to deliver the Thief's Companion by October 30. Has Mongoose decided to put it back on the schedule in response to recent developments?

Long cold wait II = 3rd edition?

I think Pathfinder did some good things (from what I remember of the alpha) with d20. Conan definitely did good things with d20. If a new edition of Conan absorbs some of the better ideas from Pathfinder, I wouldn't complain. It could absorb some ideas from True20 too if it likes. Ultimately...

    Corporation ISBN?

It does indeed. Thank you very much.

    Corporation ISBN?

As the subject indicates, does anybody know the ISBN for Mongoose's version of the Corporation RPG? Or for its supplements, for that matter?

Trial of Blood - The Trusted Lyre layout

That looks excellent. Spoilers in white below: Is the space by the door for the performers? I placed them at the opposite end of the room, for a better chance at backstabbing. I like how there's no exit other than the front door. It forces the situation better. I had to make do without...

    DW skills

No, seriously. Before you bash the door in, try knocking. The worst knocking will do is alert the occupants that you're there, and bashing guarantees that anyway. The best opponents are the ones you've had some face time with. A little bit of roleplaying from the GM will remind you why you want...

    DW skills

    8) Knock on the door and talk to whomever answers. 9) Find out who has the key and acquire it. (Assuming "no key" means "no key in your possession") 10) Find out who made the lock and learn how to open it from them. 11) Hire a burglar to pick the lock, then cuff him on the back of the head...

    [DW] Growth of characters

I see that now. Actually, I think Weaponskill is pretty equivalent to Armour Expert - Armour Expert gives +1 armour as long as you have the correct armour (plate), Weaponskill gives +1 to armour bypass rolls as long as you have the correct weapon. Your chosen weapon may not come into play...

    [DW] Growth of characters

I came up with something similar, especially for Knights who aren't part of the Gentry or Nobility. Skills of the Mediocre Track Ride Warhorse Occupation? (See page 54 - mind you, if you can hold down a regular job, why are you an adventurer?) Mariner (trained as a naval officer, but also an...

    Pirate Code of Honour?

I've always felt that lesser codes of honour, like Thieves' Code or Pirates' Code, should exist, but give smaller bonuses. That way an honourable thief would be more tempted to break their code when the situation demanded it.

Going Dippy for Conan Rpg in 2010

But does Betrayer have maps? :) I've actually had Betrayer of Asgard on order from Amazon.ca for quite a while. Apparently it'll arrive mid-March, but we'll see. Trial of Blood has lasted thirteen sessions so far, and I think it'll last three more. I'll run Mutants and Masterminds for a bit...

Going Dippy for Conan Rpg in 2010

That. Sounds. Awesome. We've been playing Trial of Blood, and its been great. My only quibbleis that the quest is a bit too "good", and may leave my players with the stench of modern heroism about them. Hopefully this new campaign would be of a similar quality, plus be a bit more barbaric...
