    The FFW

I will admit that I have not and probably won't buy any of the detailed military books. I WILL buy the adventure books and things that move the war along to its inevitable conclusion of an Imperial victory over those mindfrakking Zhodani cowards. :)

Should maned small combat crafts be deleted from chartered space?

Since you got to upgrade your ultralight fighters, can I upgrade the destroyer into something actually designed to take out fighters? You have to admit, most of the book designs are NOT optimized for the firepower in the roles they are supposed to fill.

    Shipyard Capacity calculation

I don't disagree, but is this written somewhere. I would think with entire systems dedicated to the Navy (The Depots), they would have construction capacity too. Currently the US navy has dedicated shipyards for its ships. They might be operated and staffed by civilians, but they are "owned" by...

    Shipyard Capacity calculation

Also, that capacity would be civilian capacity. Military shipyards would not be part of what the starport accounts for. Naval Bases would basically have their own construction yards.

    WBH Rare Earth Universe Variant

It should apply to the Biocomplexity rating roll. Once you have that adjusted value, then normal rules would apply - basically it makes life much less complex, but Primitive life is primitive life.

    Zhodani Psionics

I wish the Psionics in MGT had kept the Special category where wild and crazy psionic abilities reside. This is where things like precognition etc. would reside. I believe the roll was 12+, so equivalent of a -4 DM, so you better try for it first. Statistically, in a polity as big as the...

    Custom Ship: 800-dTon Commerce Raider

Very Nice. A good ship to give the players during the 5FW. :)

    Ask MongooseMatt ANYTHING!!!

The nice thing is the rules say you get an airlock per 100 tons of ship. Most ships have no more than a couple airlocks, so you could use those free ones beside your docking clamps to make it work at no cost. Need more airlocks, just buy them - much cheaper than EVA.

    Player-Owned Corporations

I used the MGT1 Merchant rules to create a PC corporation for their starship. It worked OK, there were some holes, but by pitting them against another similarly sized group I could use the merchant rules to generate adventure ideas.

    World builder's handbook - orbit#s and HZCO

It is quite complicated. The original version of system builder used the Titus-Bode law, which defined orbits to specific radius: So Orbit 1 is 0.4 AU (Mercury), Orbit 2 is 0.7 AU (Venus) etc. T-B is NOT a "law" it was a formula someone worked out to account for the known orbital positions of...

Fleet Size and composition Darryan and Sword World Federation

Classic Traveller: Trillion Credit Squadron has a big part of the book devoted to how much money each world can generate for a naval fleet. Exactly how the fleets/squadrons are organized is really up to you. They should be very different though. Perhaps base the Sword Worlds on old Terran/Eather...

    Hacking and Intrusion

MGT1 Book 6: Scoundrels has a chapter on Intrusion and Hacking. It is based largely on the feel from Shadowrun etc. so that might be helpful.

    Questions for Mongoose

Follow-up to that issue. What is Mongoose's position on the possible revocation of the original OGL document that other OGLs are based on? Would current Mongoose OGL's be at risk (such as the Traveller OGL or the Legend OGL)?

Reducing the Randomness in Character Creation (A Little)

I like to let the players roll the dice First, then pick which skill table to select their skill from. This makes it semi-random, but gives them control too. For characteristics, I have always used "roll first, then assign" so they get the type of character they want, but still random-ish.
