I find that my best options for printing PDFs is to set the printer to "draft" setting - uses less ink and still perfectly usable (although an option without graphics would be better yet)
I give a minor bonus for allegiences - nothing like as big as "code of honour", but I give a +2 bonus to will saves if one of your allegiences is at stake (as defined by me, the GM).
Cheers
I think this is a good call - Whirlwind has such steep prereqs for such little benefit compared with ITWF and great cleave. The only time when it really shines is if you are surrounded by mooks (and the strong 2H weapon fighter will be cleaving through all those anyway). This gives an...
What period are the Ancients rules? Are they bronze rather than steel, because that might explain why more rapid degradation of armour would be represented.
Cheers
I'd never use 3d6 for that kind of roll... too much work and the sliding effectiveness of bonuses is tricky to evaluate too.
The two combats we have used so far have gone very well indeed. The players both felt it gave a greater sense of immediacy and participation in the combat; normal D&D...
I've actually seriously considered this as an option!
I'm sorta trying to get a mental picture of what flatfooted really represents, what would be happening if I see it on the cinema screen for instance.
In theory attacking a medium sized inanimate object would still be DC5 (medium sized, 0...
I've just run my first Conan scenario (shamelessly ripping off Iron Chefs introductory adventure with the Yoggites) and it was great fun.
I made an executive decision to roll Parry and Dodge against the attack rolls, and it made for an excellent feel for the combat - sometimes a hero would only...
I believe that you can make a trip attack while using *any* weapon, but only some weapons are designated "tripping" weapons.
The difference is this - if you are using a tripping weapon, and you fail your trip opposed check you may drop the weapon rather than be subject to a return trip by your...
It offsets the range increment penalties, the text gives a +1 circumstance bonus but doesn't speak about replacing the normal ranged attack penalties (and if it doesn't say that explicitly you are in the normal situation where the bonus and the penalties stack together).
Hope the game goes...
I was just reading "the Slithering Shadow" today and within two pages I saw on the page "pantherish twist", "Cats parry", "Desperate Stab" and "Devastating Sweep". The quotes in the book for CP and DS and PT are all from this story.
Interesting to see so many of the combat manouvres come from...
Having just read "the people of the black circle" again this morning I think I'm likely to introduce a house-rule that terror checks and crimson mist can both occur when encountering a new style of sorcery.
S'mon, you are tres cool 8) I'm preparing to DM my first Conan game and I'm still trying to get into the proper mindset, your posts have been *really* helpful in this respect, thanks!
So you don't plan on using the rule that says "Ok, after the first week you've spent 7,500 silvers on high living. Next week you spend 3750 silvers on high living. Next week you spend 1750 silvers on high living, then 1000, then 500, then 250...
