is there any chance that my favorite rpg will ever be licensed to my favorite character generator? it would make my book keeping as a gm so much easier and portable! i'm looking at you here mr msprange, no one else's opinion or answer matters. thanks in advance!

i'm with you, we don't need another edition of traveller, i have 7 already :roll: , but a nice reprint with better art would be nice. maybe leather bound and color artwork inside? if mongoose feels they must produce a new edition, why not a collector's edition of the current material :wink:

i'd appreciate mongoose releasing (or anyone else with a license) a character generator/database. perhaps thru alterego or lone wolf development could be contacted by mongoose? just hoping :wink:

i was thinking more along the lines of the year 2100 on earth after the radiation has fallen in some places to a habitable level. it would also give man enough time to re-invent "civilization" in small areas. no cities per-se, but communities rife with dictators and evil do-ers. of course...

everyone who has replied has mentioned my suggestion for a mrq2 fantasy world, but what about putting the mt rules to the space:1889 setting? i think they'd be a wonderful match :)

i would hope that after all the time that traveller has been in print that mongoose wouldn't have any 1st printing main books left. good question tho and i guess i should've asked before i bought :oops: but mongoose has had excellent customer service so i doubt they'd screw us like that :wink:

the number of books aside, i think the world eddings created would make a wonderful platform for a mrq2 rpg.

i know space:1889 is being re-released using savage worlds, but i think the mongoose traveller rules set would be a better fit. also, i'd like to see david eddings' belgariad released as an rpg using the mrq2 rules set. i think the settings of these two are the best in their class and probably...

i'd like to see a t2k game using the mongoose traveller rules set. i would also think the license wouldn't be cost prohibitive like star trek or star wars.

i can atest to the fact that layoffs are an undesirable fact of life for both the employee and employer. i hope all parties come through the ordeal with brighter futures and in good shape.
