I wrote 7 adventures for QLI in EPIC format. As MJD implies, it was a bitch of a system to write in - a real nightmare.

I should have said that Traders and Raiders will have 24 ships, of which 2 are sword worlds, some vargr, a couple of Zhodani designs, an Aslan design and an equivalent (but better) merchant cruiser design in the Leviathan type valence.

Traders and Raiders will have 2 Sword Worlds ships.

GAS 5 is guilty of having zillions of deckplans, but at least no ship or station in the book is more than 200 tons. But there are also gazillions of illustrations, so I guess that's OK.

There is a plan to do a print compilation of golden age starships 1-5 - and fairly soon, via Mongoose of course. I'm doing the artwork for this book in the next couple of weeks. As for more starship titles, I will be doing some more, and not concentrating on imperial ones, but the Avenger title...

the deckplans have changed only slightly to reflect the mongoose stats and therefore the stats are also different. The Amber Zone is completely different to the old version as it is set in 1105 rather than 1109.

being a merc is an legal profession in the imperium. It saves having to bring in the battledress equipped Imperial marines anyway.

Also, corsairs are often used as "poor mans" merc cruisers, another entirely legitimate use of the design.
