I've used miniatures for combat and other situations for almost 30 years of Roleplay. I've also run online pbem games without them. Both methods have their pros and cons; overall though I prefer miniatures and a good chessex type gridmap.

You could also approach it from the aspect of his tribe/crew/whatever consider him a "weakling" for being squeamish or having these alien views. Perhaps he was driven out or split before the others decided to "cull the herd" as it were...

The Elric/Stormbringer/CoC menage is a darn good base for a good fantasy campaign of any ilk. I'd even bet that if you were to re-animate your game today and combine it with the Mongoose background material, it would prolly run longer than 6 months :D . Good stuff :!: :D

It's all still off topic...LOL...I use a game called Arduin for running Conan games myself. Love the Mongoose material and soak it all up, using most of it for fleshing out and breathing life into the game. The Mongoose folk are to be commended for doing Howard's work in a game format...
