Aliens of Charted Space has a focus on the Major Races, and goes into each in more detail. The Alien Compendium brings together all the Minor Races from across the Traveller range. Whereas AOCS has sections for High Guard, CSC, etc, for each species, the Alien Compendium does not follow that...

You might... just have a laid out draft of the Core Rulebook in your hands by that time...
