My friend and I are thinking about jumping into this game but I was wondering about model count. This would be a side game for us so it would get played every few months and we would probably play 2-3 games at a time. We may or may not mess with the campaign.
I was wondering how many models...
I agree that the price of metals are hurting the metal miniature industry. The issue for me is how Mongoose has handled all of their miniature games with their customers. If they are losing money, they should cancel the line. Just do not sell us roses before you do it. If this was the first...
I will agree that when you deliver bad news you do explain why the bad news more so than other companies. However, I still think that Mongoose has not always been upfront about their miniature game lines.
I am not sure that was done because of the price of metal (completely). Rackham announced their move to pre-paints in 2006. As far as dumbing down the game, that is debatable.
Except Mongoose is not raising prices, they are cancelling the line. What are lines are you referring to in terms of disappearing? Did they make the same bold statements and promises that Mongoose did shortly before canning a product?
I do not think the criticism comes from Mongoose having to drop the miniatures line. No one expects Mongoose to produce a product to continuously lose money on it. The issue for several people is that Mongoose has promised us grand plans and support for many of their games. Within weeks of...
If I recall correcty, you were the first one to call people "idiots." Once again, you are missing the point. PEOPLE ARE NOT TALKING ABOUT NOT PLAYING THE GAME. PEOPLE ARE TALKING ABOUT NOT GETTING NEW PEOPLE INTO THE GAME.
Or maybe you are just an idiot and are missing the point.
The majority of the posts do not say that people are going to stop playing. The majority of people are upset that they will no longer be able to buy minis for new fleets or to add on to existing fleets. Other people are upset because...
Plenty of people that already own the game will continue to play. The problem is that without miniatures and support, new people will not get into the game.
The issue for me is that I was drawn to the game because of the prepaints. Now that Mongoose has dropped that aspect, I am no longer interested in the product. I still have what I bought throughout the release (and it is a lot), but I am stuck with only the 3 waves you decided to release. So...
Sorry, I have to disagree with you. Many of the posts regarding this game from Mongoose talk about how it would be a supported game. Support to me means more miniatures. They have released several games, promised support, and dumped the game. Should they have to continue to develop a game...
I could not agree with you more. I will not be buying or supporting any Mongoose products anymore. This is not the first time Mongoose has pulled support for their games after promising brighter futures in forum posts.
