    Species (Races) in MgT 2e

"Fish eaters" (cetaceans and the like) get a pass, IIRC. Something something complications about whether fish count, or swimming creatures can be gnakh, or something... If dolphins get a pass, I'm sure ladybugs would.

    Species (Races) in MgT 2e

LOL There are at least two franchises with veggy felines. On Thundercats Snarf made an off the wall comment of fixing applesauce for dinner. In the SFB version of Trek, Caitans are vegetarian. I thought both were absurd, myself. But K'kree uplifts occurred to me also, and seem quite likely...

    Solomani are missing Uplifted species

+ Well, at least we have answered the question from upthread "Why would anybody bother uplifting caprines?" I think I'll add to the Christmas subsector that Joljopokki are born swimmers and navigators...

    Solomani are missing Uplifted species

Some typos are just too on the nose to pass up Were they uplifted goats? Were their hooves splayed and webbed? 😁

I consider everything but the three LBBs and S3 (I think - the Spinward Marches gazetteer) to be optional. 😁

    Solomani are missing Uplifted species

A few years (decades?) ago, someone created the Christmas Subsector, with planets named with Christmassy themes. (I have decided the planet Rudolf orbits a red supergiant). I've considered some uplifted animals for this subsector: Polar Bears two types of uplifted goats, the intimidating...

My universe uses the '77 rules. I consider everything published since then as optional: This allows me to use GURPS or anything else if I find it interesting, or ignore it if doesn't fit what I want to referee. To give a good example of your last sentence, there are four scenarios that deal...

    No Starship Campaigns

You answered this much better than I could. Yeah, it has bothered me that a Traveller can get a few tons of Radioactives and pay a simple hauling fee. Why didn't the cargomaster or captain just buy the speculative cargo himself, or at least charge premium? Good answer. I was today years old...

    No Starship Campaigns

Sure it's an interesting topic, and I'm sorry if my specific question hijacked your thread. It just strikes me as odd that Travellers would scrounge for patrons, use rumors, call in favors etc, but in four decades of playing, no one has ever asked "I go down to the Port Authority and ask if...

    No Starship Campaigns

Yahbut, it's still by fiat. Let's say the Travellers have scoured a sweet bit of cargo on Regina - and know it will sell for a profit on Ruie - what are the chances of a random ship taking both passengers and cargo to Ruie? Good, because it's close and there is a lot of demand, and reduced...

    No Starship Campaigns

I'll ask here, something that has been bothering me for awhile. How does one actually find a starship? I mean, you can find one that is willing to ship a cargo to somewhere for you, but AFAICT there is no mechanism for finding a ship heading where the Traveller wants to go. I dislike the "You...

    Mertactor

Weird, you can't go straight there, but if you go to Obsidian Portal, open Traveller campaigns, Mustered Out on Mertactor, you'll get another write up. The answer to the OP's question is - of course - "It depends." If your Travellers are just going there and you don't plan an adventure, use...

    Beltstrike

How long would it take for a smashed planet's core to cool enough to work? Could the once core asteroids be worked while still close to core temperatures?
