I'm addicted to space ship combat games. The first actual "miniatures wargame" I ever played was the original Star Fleet Battles when they released the old Starline 2200 miniatures to go with it. Since then, I've collected fleets for lots of spaceship games...
The Feds are very well done although I was wondering about the domes on the warp nacelles? They appear to be black in the photos, rather than the glowing red/orange they are typically done in. Are they not finished, or was that a deliberate choice for some reason? Other than that they look...

Fair enough. Personally, I'm more excited to see the Hydrans than either the Lyrans or Orions, but that's probably at least a year away so meanwhile I have plenty of time to work on Orions, Tholians and Lyrans. :wink:

Well, ADB has been making metal miniatures for SFB and FC for as long as the company has existed, so I'm fairly confident of their ability to manage the operation now.

I'm not too hung up on the actual, numerical scale of the bases (given that a true in-scale base isn't really practical for most games). I'd just like them at least slightly larger than a dreadnaught size ship. 8)
I would dispute this, as the 2500 model prototype shown by Mongoose (like every other 2500 model) has significant surface detail that the 2400 model lacks. I'll admit the issue with the resin is a fair concern given the issues with the material in the initial run of 2500 miniatures, though...
