    Italian Navy - Deck Colour

I am using: Painters guide to WW2 Naval Camouflage, Pub; Clash of Arms Publishers Inc ISBN 1 85818 0007. Reliable for me so far. Up to 42. Sips were painted light gray overall. Steel decks and horizontal surfaces were painted dark gray. Wood deck left natural color (gray with aging)...

    Skip Bombing

Reading about the 5th Airforce in the SW Pacific. Skip bombing was used by US aircraft. NOTE: I use DM's method for high level bombing. Roll the AD if you get a six then roll each dice that rolled a six for a normal attack. Would skip bombing have a better chance of getting hits? The...

Attacking HMS Repulse and HMS Prince of Wales

AA fire was split. In one example the last twelve aircraft of the 22 attacked Prince of Wales. One dice was rolled per aircraft. Five of the twelve made it in and each rolled three AD for each plane, from memory he got 9 hits and then rolled 27 DD. With armor 6+ and a torpedo belt off...

Attacking HMS Repulse and HMS Prince of Wales

Trying to learn how to use aircraft. We just played a game with 60 G3M “Nells” which we made into 15 flights and 26 Betty’s which we made into 7 flights. We gave the Nells the same abilities as the Bettys. Other sources we have give the Nells similar bomb and torpedo loads and capabilities...

    Aircraft attacking ships

We just played a VAS game with aircraft attacking ships. We were playing that only three planes max may an attack on a ship. the rules state:"Only three flights (of any type) may attack a single ship in the same turn." Question: 1. Is this three flight of torpedo planes, three flight...

    OOB release date.

After reading Shattered Sword my impression on ship handling is that good captains/ship handlers reacted very fast to attacking planes. I have not read any books that give that sort of description of ship handling by European nations. In the same book they also give a good description of bad...

    OOB release date.

Why not carry two torpedoes? Providing the range to target allows it to carry two. If you were to drop one then slightly deviate your angle of attack, to allow for the ship turning, then drop the second. This should increase you chances of a successful hit. From what I have read when planes...

    Observation Plane Speed

I would at least think they would be faster than some of the destroyers that can move 8 inches. Why are they being removed? Rod

    Observation Plane Speed

Both on the Ship Viewer and the book Observation Planes have a speed of 7 inches. Shouldn't that be more like 17 inches? Rod

    Wellington & B-17

I was looking at the stats of airplanes in burgers ships viewer. I noticed that in one of them the Wellington damage rating was 4+. Not being familiar with the Wellington was it more indestructible than a B-17 which a damage rating of 3+. Rod

    B-25 Stats

I saw the Wellingston stats and it only has torpedoes. The only airplane with high altitude bombing AD's is the B-17. I figure the B-25 would be 2 AD for high altitude bombing. Using what DM does for high altitude rolling the 2 AD and if you get a six (6) then reroll those dice for a normal...

    B-25 Stats

We'll with all the replies. I guess I just take a SWAG at it. Which after reviewing all the planes stats that seems to be what some of them are. Rod

Thank you for the reply. I got to play my second game today and coach two other players. With the difference on 1+ on the armor for the Zara I do not think it will matter in the great scheme of things. Rod
