I thought about that, but I think that INSIDE the tanks, algae, bacteria and viruses would be likely to survive. Even outside is possible:

RE: environmental risks from dipping into water
Dipping into one water source and then into another one has a high risk of cross contamination of any type of life form, from algae to bacteria to vertebrates. This is a big hazard already with boats from lake to lake, never mind across star...
