    Research Station Gamma Robots

The mongoose book is seriously broken, 13Mann's Robots is a much better tool. Honestly I would just use the robots rules included in the adventure or the system in Best of jTas #1.

    What is "canon" these days?

Note Canon is for writers and not for those plating the game.

    What's Traveller5 like?

You need an advanced degree in Traveller to make it work with everything piled on.... Actually it has the GURPS problem you need to decide what bits you are using and got from there. Right now the best primer for T5 is T4. My choice is to use what I have been using the longest which is solidly...

    Substitute Miniatures

You mean other than actual Droyne Figures? RAFM has them in 15mm, there where a couple in the Grenadier Box set in 25mm, then there was the set Mega Minis did.... Note RAFM is the only going concern that still stocks them.

    Mayday

I incorporated some of the Mongoose 1st edition rules with Book2/Mayday. Works fine. Haven't really bothered to do so with the 2nd edition. Also Note neither 1st or 2nd edition of Mongooses ship rules use any sort of a vector system, so a fair amount of adaptation is required.

Traveller as a Spaceship Modeling Hobby

Quite often, though to be honest most of my layouts aren't ship's per say, but places for the player's and by extension their miniatures to run around and play in. That's not a theory, that is a proven fact. Borne out by 30 years of electronic discussion. There are more than a few,,,

What to do when Corebook and CSC contradict each other.

The answer is simple, pick the one that fits your game.

Robots and Drones for 2nd ed

Nope not a rumor, the 13Mann Robots book is much better than the Mongoose book for construction.

    A Traveller Miniatures Game?!!

It's working from here. Thanks for posting the comparison.

    A Traveller Miniatures Game?!!

Yah, I know, but 28mm when they came out and 28mm now are two different critters. :) I found the RAFM figures to be rather hit and miss in that respect, but it has been so long since I owned any. I switched to 15mm solely years ago. Funny thing is I still can get new figures to match the...

    A Traveller Miniatures Game?!!

I have plenty in 15mm... What I could use are some Aslan and Vargr in full environment suits. 15mm works well with the 1/2 inch grid of the large scale deckplans from Azhanti High Lightning, Snapshot and the FASA deckplans. Note you are confusing licensee's Grenadier did the set in "true"...

    DIY advanced tech starship upgrades

If it makes a better game for your group then Yes. Note I have let players build ships cobbled together out of bits in a Starship junkyard.

    Orbital Belts

You were on a decent track, just the numbers were a little off. Still it is a LOT of cargo even on a single freight train. But it pales in comparison to the volume of what moves through the ports which is why I gave y'all those numbers as well. Circling back around to the Megastructure, I am...

    Orbital Belts

Try closer to 2,600 dTons figuring on 45ft containers... In general ports in the US move around 45 million TEU equivalents per year. in rough Traveller terms that would be 180 million dTons of cargo for the USA alone. From that number one could say a worlds volume per year is one half of the...
