It was a tournament I ran and because I didn't state in the rule pack and it doesn't mention it in the rule book I couldn't stop him using ten Bearn Class A/C. He won't be welcome at any other tournaments we run! Roland

Unfortunately there are quite a few people like that around, mainly from a GW or DBM background. We now restrict each player to the number of ships named in the book. Roland

Now what shall I take? One Trento or two Zara's? Roland

In the new book OoB the Italian cruiser Trento has been upgraded from Skirmish to Raid. Is this a typo or for real? The Trento isn't much different to the Zara and that is still Skirmish. Roland

I hate the French aircraft carrier! One game I played my opponent fielded ten of them! The sight of my battleships running away from a pack of aircraft carriers if crazy. Why did they run away? Because not only did I have all the aircraft to contend with but the carriers have torpedoes! Roland

That is an idea I had as well. If the bomber want to move it can and the fighter can decide whether to move with it and have another go at it. I didn't include it because I got so much flak for changing the rules that I thought that the fewer changes the better. Roland

We increased the number of attack dice to 2 and allowed them to re-fuel but they still didn't do a huge amount of damage in my game. I think they were a real handfull in some of the other games though and he did win the tournamnet overall! We set the tournament at 5pts Battle level with no War...
