Not many :
Thoruns now have the atmospheric trait
Virus Bombs can attack troops or emplacements
Pentacons still act as pentacons even when reduced to below 4 ships
Think thats about it :D
Played Dilgar , won 2 lost 2 and came 11th :)
Fleet was
4 x Targrath
1 x Omelos
2 x Jashakar
All the games were great fun and was all round a fun day, hope to see everyone at the next tourney :D
Well if you insist :D
Vorlon Heavy Cruiser - Shields 3+
Get rid of the discharge gun but up the lightning cannon to 10AD and increase hull to 150
Shadow Ship - Energy Diffuser 3, diffusers only goes down to 5+, add adaptive armour and increase Slicer AD to 8
Does that look better for you...
Yeah they would give near enough the same effect, apart from they would be effective against all hits no matter the source ie energy mines, jump points etc
After all the talk of weak Shadows and Vorlons I have done a bit of thinking and come up with a couple of ideas to try out :)
Two new traits, 1 for Vorlons and 1 for Shadows(though they could be applied to other races :D )
Shields X +
This ship is protected by an advanced energy shield...
Or use the normal rules for the scenarios in tournaments, ie only 1 of three scenarios allows hyperspace to be used, or just not allow it at all in a tournament.
I want them balanced and scary :D
I want to play a fleet of younger races ships against just a few ancient ships.
I want to think that I have a fair chance of winning, but that I'm gonna lose a lot of ships in doing so.
Am I just strange ? Maybe being around Howarth too much is starting to...
It's not just a balance issue. It just doesn't feel right to me that a younger races warship is the equivalent to a first one warship.
Just my 2p worth :D
I say make them nasty, however they still need to be balanced.
Something like 1 Shadow Ship should be the equal of 2 - 3 War level ships and cost that many fleet allocation points :D
I may just have to try and make up some stats
