Exactly. Long as my miniatures arrive eventually I don't need Mongoose to hold my hand, stroke my hair and tell me I'm special in the meantime. And I'm really not fussed if people in different countries get theirs before me.

I'd like to second the mobsters thing, especially as they're a pretty common enemy for Judges in the roleplaying game.

Though obviously let's hope the standard of sequels doesn't dip quite as sharply with 'Dredd'....

I wouldn't write it off just yet; some films get a new lease of life on DVD (especially ones with favourable critical reaction and, most crucially, strong word of mouth). A lot of people wait til DVD with an unknown (to them) quantity : )

Now I'm thinking blue and yellow (two colours which qualify as suitably bright but don't clash and aren't so garish as to make me queasy). Maybe purple and yellow - then they can look like a bag of rhubarb and custards.

I think you're right about earthy, military-type tones being too subdued for MC1. As much as it makes me wince, I think I'll probably have to incorporate some bright colours in there somewhere. Perhaps a good compromise might be that thing you mentioned with bright accents/piping on selected...
