Latest News on A Call to Arms: Star Fleet

Well when my brother and I travelled to Mongoose Towers in 2005 for "Wheel of Fire" we had problems at both Dublin and Birmingham airports with security who told us that metal models were a "potential weapon". Followed by "Are they Star Wars or Dr Who?" in reference to Centauri and Brakiri ships...

+1 on the Cloaked Romulan models. I still REALLY want those

Damn that's not good. That also pushes up the cost of travelling to the tournament, for me, by €30 each way as metal minis can't be in hand luggage. That may well prevent me going :(

You really should do them purple, with green flashes  A Barney-Gorn fleet could be almost as cool as the Hello Kitty Space Marines

Greg pretty much nailed it, people I've shown the models have complained that telling classes apart is quite difficult at times.

Or rather until they explode under Romulan plasma

The Gorns are just one design in varying sizes. They make for a very dull fleet, visually.

Once you've played Fallout New Vegas: Old World Blues and not only had your brain stolen, but had an argument with it :P that no longer seems so odd!

If I recall correctly he saw Earth as it was in the time of Napoleon, due to the time it took light to travel, but he knew who Napoleon was, that's a REALLY great telescope. You don't pick them up in Toys R Us

There was some really bad science in TOS, remember the Squire of Gothos who could view events on Earth via his telescope?

But what about the SFB ships which look so different in that series, eg Firehawk, Condor, Gorn etc
  13. E

Certainly the Gorn ships and to a lesser degree the Klingons and Kzintis are very samey. I wonder why there was such a wide variety in ship hulls in the Star Fleet Command PC series, based on SFB, and how come ADB are not allowed use those designs?

    Second game, new questions

The term "Critical score" is for tracking stages of criticals, it has no damage value as of itself.

    Second game, new questions

That's not correct, Sgt G had it right. I think the mistake you are making is based on the incorrect examples given on page 8 which the playtesters have confirmed were based on a previous critical chart.
