    Suspending the Megadeal

...and before I'll buy these books (and if I buy any, I'm buying the full set), I demand a non-defective product - that means no missing sections, no FUBAR stats, and no mixed-up equipment sections. Sadly, Mongoose appears unwilling to meet my requirements.

    Suspending the Megadeal

When I heard about this republishing effort, I rejoiced at the news. Reprinted LW books! Wonderful! ...but after reading about the many, many errors, I just can't bring myself to buy the reprints. I'm not going to pay for defective books, and from what I've read, Mongoose refuses to fix all...

Dawn of Destruction: Vaporware or not?

We've all been waiting patiently on this, but I'm starting to wonder about whether I'll ever actually see Dawn of Destruction released. The info page lists July 2005 as the release date. It's mid-July. Has the DoD release been pushed back, or is it currently being distributed? Eager buyers...

The "other" spells for the Brotherhood of the Crys

Color me interested. The more spells the better! I'll be happy to gank them for NPC usage in my LW campaign (none of my PCs wanted to play wizards - I guess LW wizards feel underpowered compared to D&D wizards).

    New order setting

I've set my campaign in MS 4215. That way, there is plenty of room for the party to save Magnamund and frustrate the Darklords without stepping on Lone Wolf's toes :)

Dawn of Destruction release date in July?

Good point. WOTC should be prosecuted for the outrage that is the Complete series of reprints. Now, all we need is WOTC printing quality with Lone Wolf content quality (and an extra round of editing, heh) and life would be perfect. Oh, well, I can dream...

Dawn of Destruction release date in July?

Regardless of any value judgements made about WOTC prices, quality, and business practices (Naar-approved, in the case of the randomized minis), the fact remains that WOTC releases are almost universally cheaper than the Lone Wolf Core book. Too bad, LW is way more worth it in terms of quality...

Dawn of Destruction release date in July?

I've corralled my D&D group into trying a LW campaign, but no one else is willing to buy the rulebook because the list price is "too high" for a BW book. They've been spoiled by $25-35 full-color glossy WOTC releases. Hopefully I'll be able to convert them with an awesome LW campaign :)
