    MgT 2e Missile Damage

I just noticed a difference in the rules for Missile Damage on page 162 about "Impact" the last part of the section reads... However, reading the PDF version, this text is missing! Based on the PDF reading of that section, it is possible for a hit from a missile salvo of one to do: (4D -...

    [HG 2e] Aerofins and streamlining

To the original question: aerofins do make the most sense on a streamlined ship as you are using lift for flight and control at that point. On the side question, with the technology Traveller, a ship can do 1+ G thrust with their drives. This would allow for a powered decent from space...

High Guard 2e Turret and Ammo

I think it's pretty clear "tons" in High Guard is a measure of volume (displacement) rather than weight. If you buy 12 missiles, it takes up 1 Ton (dTon / 13.5 m3) of cargo space.

High Guard 2e Turret and Ammo

I actually found a bit more information on the Turret Ammo question in the Core Rulebook (page 157). Turret Ammo is still a bit magical, particularly when a turret has both a missile rack and a sandcaster, but at least the silliness of a turret with 36 missiles is tossed out. Turret has ammo...

    Ship Design Philosophy

That picture of the hull layers is a neat concept, and cool looking. Temperature is definitely a concern, heaters and coolers (radiators) will a part of designs.

High Guard 2e Turret and Ammo

I understand that a turret extends a bit beyond the hull (in a way that doesn't affect performance). However, one can infer that this amount (pass the hull) is generally less than 1 dT as the "Pop-up Turret" only requires 1 dT to "hide" the external bits back in the hull. [They even have a...

High Guard 2e Turret and Ammo

I looked at the firmpoint rules also, they have a bit of consistency as each firmpoint mount only accepts one weapon. Interestingly, a Single Turret mounted on a firmpoint still consumes 1 ton of space, but the weapons mounted in a firmpoint turret are generally smaller / less capable. A...

High Guard 2e Turret and Ammo

[House Rule Idea / Suggestions] Approach 1: Adjust the size of turrets based on type: Single - 1 ton Double - 1.5 ton Triple - 2 ton Quad - 2.5 ton Pop-up - x 2 Reduce the internal magazine of Missile Racks to 6 missiles (representing about 0.5 tons), and Sandcasters to 10 canisters (also...

High Guard 2e Turret and Ammo

I’m reading through ship design rules in 2 e High Guard to design a few ship in an app I'm building. A couple of rules strike me as a bit odd, particularly how Triple Turrets and Missile Racks work. Each type of turret mount (Single / Double / Triple) takes up the same amount of space, 1 ton...

    Ship Design Philosophy

The vacuum of space is an extremely poor conductor of heat, so you don't need to worry much about losing (or gaining) much heat from space via conduction. The primary method most objects in space lose (or gain) heat is via radiation.
