    All aircraft?

Might be effective, but three issues: 1. If it doesn't work out on the first salvo, you don't get a second.... 2. Your opponent might hit you.... 3. I think you'd be sent to wargaming hell (unpainted plastics and rules lawyer opponents) for such a lack of grace.... Dom

    Manufacturer's of 1/600 scale Observation/Spotter Aircraft?

Great stuff, thanks; Tumbling Dice make the Pete, so that's the stand-in sorted for me.... :) Dom. PS - Gratuitous plug as I have the Tumbling Dice Pete in stock: http://tinyurl.com/2qljjp

Just got mine, What are the mini's everyone is using?

Yes; there are exceptions both sides of the pond, but I'd say 80% or so of Americans are using 1/2400, and 80% of Brits 1/3000. I think availability is a big factor; the four main manufacturers are GHQ, Panzerschiffe (both 1/2400, and US) Navwar and Skytrex (both 1/3000, and British....) Dom...

    Manufacturer's of 1/600 scale Observation/Spotter Aircraft?

Thanks DM; ugly looking thing, isn't it...? As for models, nope, I've never seen one of those in 1/600. That said, if anyone knows where plans of it might be found (other than the £34.95 book that I can't afford....) please drop me a line.... Dom.

    Manufacturer's of 1/600 scale Observation/Spotter Aircraft?

Just a quick add-on here; for the Japanese, you want the F1M2 Pete from Tumbling Dice; the Rufe was a dedicated fighter, not a spotter. For the Brits, Tumbling Dice should also have the Sea Fox available in the next couple of weeks; it's due in their next set of moulds. For the French you...

    VAS PDF

I also voted no, as it's a nice book.... As a mail order retailer I'm finding the big heavy hardback with a bundle of counter sheets a proper pain, but as a customer I'm really rather pleased with the production values, so would be unlikely to opt for a PDF instead on this one. Dom.

    Royal Navy in WWII

"Seriously, for all the vaunted power of the Royal Navy, it seems like they play 2nd fiddle to pretty much all the other major powers." Ahem. Rubbish.... The Royal Navy was in the uniquely unpleasant position of having to defend an island nation, and its empire, for the entirety of WW2. That...

    Something interesting for the Italians!

Pair of 15" guns. Note that the turret is open, as well; there's a big gap between the turret sides and the "roof" (which is more of an umbrella, really....) She drew 3000 tons, and had 465 horsepower of propulsion, so speed 1 in flat seas, 0 otherwise.... She also had a sister, the Alfredo...
