    Surely how it works is "1d6+effect-4", the total is then compared to the table on page 150 to give the total number of hits which you then role on the location table on page 151? Therefore, the "effect" that is added to the damage dice is the "effect" to hit.

    Having re read the quote, it appears to me that to calculate damage when you hit is "total damage= weapon damage+effect-armour" ie the higher you role over the target number, the greater the damage. Seams clear to me.

    I’m a bit confused how agent programs work. It states in the core rulebook that they have a computer skill equal to their rating. Dose this mean that they are restricted to performing computer related tasks? Alternatively, can they also run expert systems like an intellect program?

    Why would you use DS ammo with a gauss weapon? Given how they are supposed to work, I wouldn't have thought using DS ammo would be any advantage.

    Traveller Open Day - May 1st

    I'd just like to say what a really good time I had overall. A great game set in District268 run by mrfringle in the morning. Also, I'd like to say thanks to all the players who took part in the game of Storm Warning I ran in the afternoon. They made it very enjoyable to run.
