shorter Terms, depending on the type, is what I made in my house rules. But it ended in using the Alternity Rules with the Character Creation mechanics of Traveller. :mrgreen:

Maybe make the % of HullPoints needed to call a critical a Weapon Trait. e.g.: Crit 0.05 means 5% of HullPoints.

but what happens when the "guy with the shortsword" lands a strike or somehow manages to get past the pike. Wouldn't he have an advantage then? For every lenght category the pike is longer than the shortsword I give the PC or NPC a + 5% bonus, but when the shortword manages to strike the bonus...

I use this rule in my group for SR: SR = (INT + DEX) /2 - (ENC of Weapon)* * when 2 weapons then the higher ENC counts

Try the "Midnight" Setting. It's a real good Dark Fantasy Setting.

Why does the attacking weapon takes damage when attacker misses and defender had success and it takes no damage when both had success? :roll: Doesn't sound realistic to me.

IMO it's not written clearly. There are some (known) in the core rules, too. I just substracte 1AP.

Since I use RQ, I am much much much more cooler and suddenly my favorite soccer team just wins ervery match. And... I think I lost weight around my hip. :P Just because I bought RQ! When I want a girl and don't like to talk, make compliments, take her out, I just show her my RQ Hardcover Core...
