I prefer the less real future states - I find it tends to also help avoid more emotional issues.

I gather from GRRM's not-a-blog that this is up for grabs. Mongoose interested? It's a fantastic world, and Mongoose are the best people I'd like to see tackle it - they've got a great track record with other licences.
