    had to share...more!

If that is considered acceptable in modern society, then that sums up today's problems in a nutshell. Total disrespect.

    Pocket Player's Guide

Will it have all the mistakes, typos and inconsistencies in miniature too?

    A hand with sand please.

Thanks for all the responses exept the one above which is not only short-sighted but accusing. I don't even know or care what "TML" is. I would of thought any sensible person would understand my intention from the thread title alone. I am still not wholly convinced about these sand guns...

    A hand with sand please.

So I am thinking... A ship zipping about in 3D(4d..) space at lightning speeds. How on earth is a cloud of sand or whatever ever going to be in the right place at the right time, at the right angle, etc And if used in defence by a stationary/slow ship, won't it mess up their chance to fire...

High Guard- qualifying and previous terms oddity

I think it means you need to roll the qualificaton number OR have the number of of previous terms service. That's how its worded anyway in the explanations before all the careers. And the negative Dm's are for the qualifcation roll to join a service in the first place, not for promotions as...

The same reason they don't seem to employ a proofreader.

High Guard- qualifying and previous terms oddity

How about this situation too? I notice some careers , comissioned ranks start at 02. So if you start that career as , say , E1 , roll a successul comission, are you Rank 02 now?

High Guard- qualifying and previous terms oddity

I would rather like an answer from Mongoose, its a show-stopper as far as I am concerned.

High Guard- qualifying and previous terms oddity

According to the book you can enter a naval branch by either rolling what you need under Qualifications OR by meeting the number of terms of prior service. Q1) According to my calculations you could then automatically qualify for Command after 3 terms, going straight to rank 05? That don't...

High Guard characters - mustering out problems

The example character seems to indicate benefits are rolled when a character leaves the the Navy career as a whole (by choice or otherwise) but its not clear to me. What happens if a character leaves one branch (eg Flight) and takes up another (eg Support) . Do I get the rolls at that point...

High Guard. Whats the verdict chaps?

Looks good to me! Worth the money. Look forward to testing it out. :D So much better than that "other book" which has now been recycled into something more useful - bedding material for a rodent.

High Guard or "Adventures in Imperial Navy"

I can sympathise with the OP. But there again. Mongoose Traveller, is STILL an RPG set in the "Far Future" from a 1970's viewpoint. "Captain! Incoming missile!" "Oh right. Let me just finish my lunch, Ensign" Boom "Outer hull shows signs of significant scratching and some of your lunch has...

Career Book 1 from Spica Publishing

mmm...eh? So you've expanded Citizen-Colonist into..er..Colonist? And Citizen-Worker into Worker? And Citizen-Corporate into Corporate Citizen? Give me an example of one,I am curious how you made Colonist into 3 variants

Gaining experience and rewarding good roleplaying

Everyone learns from their experiences. Skills plainly increase, even if slowly, through use. To argue otherwise is ridiculous. If you are repeatedly exposed to dangerous situations you will learn. From a game point of view, the characters are already professionals, but there is always room...
