I think i may have seen the answer here before but cannot find it. When a ship with interceptors and dodge is hit which order do you roll the dice in?

When checking against crew quality does a 6 always succeed? I’m just thinking of what happens if you are say playing the ambush scenario which for the defenders requires them to test against a crew quality check of 10 to get started. And are in a dust cloud. I’m think along the lines of...
