Yes you misunderstand. The backgrounds are the same. However not all are suitable for each race. Sgb does not make it clear which backgrounds(primitive, Barbarian, etc) are suitable for which race(Kuthan, Tharag Thulans,etc).

Yes the cultural background Primitive Barbarian Civilised Nomad. Some of the races are obvious as the descriptions state they are a nomadic race.others not so obvious some dwell in cities but act barbaric for instance.

I would certainly check that out. For my sis campaign.

Has anybody added the missing cultures to the xoth books yet? Some are obvious but others seem to border on a couple of possibilities.
