How about Mongoose does a Chaosium and folds all the worthwhile stuff from 1st edition supplements into the main rulebook and the expand that with supplements?
I've got a question about the newer reprints of older material: Are the first two pages in color or do they still do a black and white transfer?
Reason I ask is because my copy of the Complete Oz is all black & white.
Sidenote: I seem to have lost my very old copy of City of the Damned...
Only Dredd storyline that I know of to go to Texas City was the Judge Child Quest. If memory serves, it was pretty much Old West, but... ya know... with spaceships.
It only really just occured to me how complicated a Judge Dredd system needs to be... not talking about combat necessarily, but the bredth of what it needs to be able to handle.
Of course, there's the guns and the vehicles and whatnot.
There are the Dark Judges; that's horror.
Then there's...
ripping the nails out of the cross he was nailed to... That man is one word, four letters - H-A-R-D (Its in the Jonni Kiss storyline, don't remember the GN's title)
I wouldn't be too keen on a too great a revamp as all my supplements would lose a lot of their value.
Could take a good look at...
General consensus on best Dredd story arc of all time is Apocolypse War. Might want to read Block Mania first though as it is the immediate lead in to it.
I do not have high hopes for the new movies... the budgets are tiny, especially for something as FX heavy a setting as Mega-City One. So waiting for those.... nevermind, I don't want to think about it.
We need a Judge Dredd non-smiley
*If* there is going to be a 2nd edition (pleasepleaseplease) and it doesn't come out until 2006, there really *needs* to be some stuff in the mean time. Without anything new, people are liable to forget about the game. I'm thinking at least two: Cursed Earth...
I'm not sure its a lifestyle choice... they go in at the age of 5... they are more like Jannisaries (sp?): trained their whole lives to be judges. That, not too surprisingly, would be what they would want to do.
Played JDvsJD using bots in multiplayer mode. I have not seen bots this poorly done since Quake. That's Quake from 1996. Rebellion's bots are as bad as bots from EIGHT YEARS AGO. They can shoot through walls. They can run, zigzagging, hitting you with every shot of a full auto weapon. And...
Would Mongoose be aminable to a free pdf download of a module, if it was done for free? Not saying I could do it; I couldn't, but should somebody with good knowlege of the source material and balance issues volunteered to do it, Mongoose could host it....
That's not a complete impossibility. After all, Capture the Flag was a fan made mod of Quake I and became integral to Quake II and just about every first person shooter released since then.
Best bet would probably be to either do a mod for NWN or wait for NWN 2. It would require an enourmous...
