    Tone of the art

    Hmm. I really liked the career portraits. If I had to draw a connection to a precedent in portraiture, they reminded me of some of the art from TNE's career pictures.

    Traveller and Realism

    Any dogmatic interpretation of ANY part of the UPP (excepting maybe the physical ones) is going to lead to failure points and headaches, I think.

    My first version was a copy of TNE I bought on the cheap in a discount bin at a game shop about 5 or 6 years back. I'd been gaming for a long time, but somehow never got around to Traveller, but I'd heard stories. It was fun, even if I never got to play it much. Then I picked up GURPS...
