    This might be a silly question, but I have just finished FftD and was lucky enough to purchase a helmet (+2EP) and chainmail waistcoat (+4EP) whilst in Holmguard. My presumption is that the EP bonus is added to your base figure as opposed to your current figure that can never go above the base...
