I saw this question asked on one of the 10,000 Facebook posts about it.
The responses boiled down to "this game isn't for everyone" and "it will bring more attention to Traveller".
But why would they learn an entirely new ruleset, one which is a lot more "grounded" (I use that term sparingly) when they can continue using the comfort blanket of 5th Ed D&D? This product feels closer to Starfinder than Traveller.
I can potentially see this happening a vanishingly small...
Relatively new to Traveller, long in the tooth veteran of TTRPGS.
I'm still struggling to understand how this is going to potentially "bring more players into the Traveller space".
Groups that are only inclined to play 5th Ed "D&D based products" aren't going to be purchasing MGP Traveller...
