    Deepnight babies

Occasionally you lose a kid in cold sleep, but on balance it's worth it for the peace. ;-)

    Deepnight babies

I like it, although I think there are more adventure opportunities from crew having babies when they shouldn't! :) -- Ken Walton

    Deepnight babies

Cool! I've been avoiding reading the PDFs, because I much prefer print for RPGs. That's something to look forward to! -- Ken Walton

    Deepnight babies

Some good ideas there! I'm not sure a military person who got pregnant (or caused a pregnancy) would be that bothered at being demoted to civilian status. Same with breach of contract. If the punishment is 20 years away, its not going to mean much to someone who's prepared to live in the moment...

    Deepnight babies

I'm currently reading the Deepnight Revelation boxed set, which I'm thoroughly enjoying, but one thing is bothering me - babies. You put 4-500 people in a confined space for 20 years, and no babies are born? Was everyone sterilised before coming aboard? Or are Imperial contraceptives 100%...

Blood of Orlanth for RQII - Free Download

One of my favourite RQ supplements! Probably worth pointing out that my adventure "The Initiation" in Signs & Portents #89 was specifically written as a prologue to this campaign if you're running it from the Orlanthi point of view.

I blame the Imperial Interstellar Scout Service.

    Clockwork & Chivalry for RQII

Much as I'd like to persuade you that you should rush out and buy C&C, I have to say, there's not much that would fit. C&C is 17th century, the tech levels and religious factions are completely different. The witchcraft rules in Divers & Sundry could be tweaked to fit, but most of it's too...

Crowded Hours - The Windermann Incident

I think making sure you know who the NPCs are and what their motivations are is important, so you're not desperately flicking through the book in play. I chose a subset of the NPCs that I thought would be of most interest to the players and emphasised them during the meal, so that they were...

What universe would you like to see with Traveller?

CJ Cherryh's Hani books, and the Union/Alliance books, would work well with Traveller. As would Poul Anderson's Technic Civilisation series. And Cordwainer Smith's Instrumentality of Mankind would be a wonderfully weird place to role-play. But I suspect Dune would be a better bet commercially.

    Serentity/Firefly 'verse using MGT

Because its familiar to your players? If you create a future history, that's fun, but it doesn't mean your players will be interested. I've got a player who isn't really into SF, and would always say "I don't like science fiction" if I tried to get her to play a SF campaign. But I introduced her...

    Beast Enhancement

I think it's escaped from Macho Women With Guns! Let's just not think about the evil that could be perpetrated with the Liposuction spell...

    Serentity/Firefly 'verse using MGT

And Traveller is quite cliched and derivative of Poul Anderson, H. Beam Piper, C.J. Cherryh, Jerry Pournelle, Isaac Asimov, etc., etc. Doesn't make it a bad background. It makes it easier to explain to the players, and they know what the genre conventions are.

    Cults of Glorantha errata project

Hey, let's not set a precedent here! I can see the headlines now: RPG INDUSTRY DECIMATED IN WAVE OF ERRATA KILLINGS
