To the expert photographers out there:

What you're looking for is a good depth of field. You can get this by using a very small aperture (f18, f20, f22..somewhere around there). What this does is severely restrict the amount of light getting to the sensor, but allows for more of the object to be in focus. Don't ask me why this is...

AAR after my second game of ACTA:SF

Speaking from a historical perspective, this tactic was known as 'The Thach Weave', and was developed early in WW 2 to help US Navy Wildcat pilots deal with the more maneuverable Japanese Zero (sound familiar? :)). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thach_Weave PS: On second thought, as an intended...

    Prototype Klingon paint schemes.

Would you mind sharing what paints and techniques you used? I would love to paint my (still yet to arrive) Klingon fleet like this, but with a darker green. B

    Red-24's Painted Star Fleet

A tripod (tabletop version is fine), large aperture setting and a remote trigger (or timed shutter) really helps with that. Of course, minis make excellent target for micro photography too as they don't move. :)

I just got an email- ACTA: The new threat to the net.

In tech support we will commonly refer to 'i.d. 10 T' errors. Not very nice I admit, but some days.......

It looks like the wife and I are planning to attend Origins this year. Is Mongoose going to be putting in an appearance there this year? B

    Shipping charges question

Many thanks for your prompt reply. It only confirms what I already suspected of course, but it's good to be clear on these things. I'm afraid that the 20% shipping costs plus whatever Canada Customs tags on (usually about 20-30% as well) will make ordering directly a bit too expensive for me...

    Shipping charges question

Just a quick question to clarify Mongoose shipping costs. Your shipping policy as defined below states "Orders over £100 to UK addresses or $150 to US addresses will be free of postage charges. This includes military BFPO/AFPO addresses." Does this include shipping to Canada as well? I would...
