Matt, I sent you an email on the 27th March asking for a refund and have yet to receive any sort of response or even aknowledgement of my request. I'll send it again in case it got lost in the system somewhere but I've been patiently waiting these last few months.
Very incomplete. Some of us signed up early enough to pay for the full series and only just just checked the website tonight to see if there was any news on what was taking the next book so long yet.
Since Mongoose have, over the last 8 or 9 months, managed to get rid of everything...
It's the way I ran it as it makes the most sense. Monsters do get a turn but only if not already engaged. Likewsie players assailed early in a turn don't get to go either because defending is acting and everyone only gets to act once a turn.
Not sure I agree with this 'though. The player might...
I've asked it before and I'll ask again. How come the French gamers get the lovely Gary Chalk artwork and us poor English players get stuck with the new cartoony artwork Mongoose want to use? Oh well  .
As far as I'm aware Greywood Publishing is run by Jamie Wallis (who did the Fighting Fantasy d20 adventures for Myriador). I like the idea of him doing a Lone Wolf board game with Gary Chalk's artwork. I just hope he's got Joe Dever's permission :).
How about Shieldmaster: The warrior knows how to use a shield to ward off attacks targetting his small frame. He gains twice the usual bonus associated with a shield when using one.
That would be correct. The combat ratio is always worked out from the player's perspective. Likewise the damage on the table is player & foe, not attacker and defender. The table is not attacker friendly. It's player friendly.
And that alone is one of the reasons why someone who's badly injured...
That section could've done with being in bold as it's the only part of the multiplayer rules that required some kind of clarification.
If you've already been attacked and someone's fighting you then you don't get a turn. Getting shot at does not constitute someone fighting you and preventing...
I think the common sense option is that everyone gets a turn unless they've already been engaged because everyone gets to fight once. If a monster attacks you before your turn and badly hurts you then you shouldn't be forced to fight it again so it can beat you up some more.
This means that...
You mean the title didn't give it away?
Actualy your post was helpful as I was going to ask if it was the same adventure before placing an order. Now I suppose I should be asking if the next print run will have the missing maps or not instead :p.
There's a reason for that. My computer perished in late December and wasn't working again 'till mid February. By the time it was functional it felt like Trigger's brush from Only Fools and Horses "it's had fourteen new heads and eleven new handles but it's still the same brush" .
I still...
Red Box Games do a lovely selection of woodland types with hooded cloaks, hand weapons and bows. They're supposed to be elves but there's no visible elf ears. Many of them would work well as Kai Monks.
Here's a few sample pictures.
Additionaly Thunderbolt Mountain do a lovely...
