I personally use 'The last of the Mohicans' soundtrack often, its fantasy sounding and has a kind of sad ethereal (almost celtic) quality in parts which was kind of fitting since our first session was the massacre of the Kai.
Braveheart is also an awesome soundtrack but for something a little...
I think the one thing over-looked here is that even though characters may have similar abilities they can still be quite unique. Just because they have the same spells doesn't necessarily mean the characters will be portrayed identically, or even use those abilities or spells in the same manner...
The Darklands preview is now up and I notice the addition of corruption similar to the rules presented in the Conan RPG (Brilliant as I already use this method -better than alignment in my book).
We also see a few other knick-knacks and then we have the preview of the DARK WARRIOR and the...
*laughs* Actually not at all! And in the end that player (as players do decided to change their mind the night before the game started and instead played a Magician of Dessi!). Pain in the ass!
We played the first session which as I said above begins at the Feast of Fehmarn at the Kai...
Hmmm...there are actually a lot of great RPG settings that in essence share this kind of pre-anihilation setting or the 'overwhelming enemy scenario'.
In my mind the Star Wars RPG, which in no matter what three (suggested) eras of play the characters are in, they are in the midst of an almost...
The above is quoted from the Lone Wolf Gamebooks and I guess that is where folks are getting the nobility only idea from, but when I read that passage I read it that the nobility sent their children to the Kai to learn from the Monks because of their martial discipline rather than the noble...
Firstly I would like to say it is killing me not being a player in this campaign but running it is better than no Lone Wolf RPG game at all ;)
Well my players have all made their characters in readiness for this weekends (Sunday) game and we have the following all of whom are first level:
A...
Told you Mindgames had it in Sable ;)
I got the other copy and was they guy that posted that they had it in on another thread (I think they only had two in stock), and my copy also sits but a scant few yards from my hands...*strokes it lovingly*
EternalKnight you could also try Alternate...
Hey fellow Victorians! I got my copy from Mind Games on Saturday morning, I preordered it from them and was surprised I got a call Saturday to tell me it was in when MilSims was saying middle of this week. Anyway they had another two copies on the shelf in the store and it is retailing there for...
Got my copy here in Melbourne yesterday and spent the day reading through the book, I must admit it was well worth the wait but there was a few things that kind of puzzled me however.
I got my players to make character and the guy creating a Brotherhood Magician found that he couldn't find...
*Checks the Magnumund Companion*
Yeah they mention a few human nations under the Drodarin catagory but the section is headed Dradarin and Primitive cultures and they mention are the grassland nations etc. that seem less advanced than the others detailed so I figured they were the Primitive...
Calling my beloved Sun-burnt country England *shudders* What a terrifying thought and no self respecting Aussie would do that!...Though some of the Englishmen living here might, though they seem to whine about it not being England more... ;)
Arandur
Yeah the Vakeros would have been nice but I guess the authors were looking for racial diversity in many ways and they already had the Mages of Dessi.
Besides it gives us something to look forward too. ;)
I just have one question for the folks out there which has me kind of puzzled as I have...
