Of course. So how many White Stars do you need now? ;-)

Truely great news. Means I can keep collecting all those Narn I started!

From the sales point of view, I'll be continuing to sell all my current B5 stock at the 20% off original price, until the new stock becomes available.
Thanks,

Matt did say that "something great" is coming our way... I wonder if this could be it...

I'm hopeful, but I won't hold my breath...

Hi guys,

It really is impossible to keep a secret in this industry :)

Yes, it is all true. We signed a deal with Iron Wind some time ago, after our discussions at GAMA, and everything is now about to swing into action.

Iron Wind has taken our masters and moulds, and will be producing the CTA line of miniatures just as soon as they can get everything on line. They have even taken the Fleet Action moulds and have at least the intention to bring those models back. Not everything will happen at once, and various fleets and ranges will likely be phased in over the next few weeks (there are rather a lot of models to handle all at once!).

We have spoken about new designs, and they are on the cards, but will be some time in coming - the first step is bringing out all the existing ships. This means there will not be any new hulls for Powers & Principalities - but considering what _is_ going into that book, I don't think anyone will be disappointed!

This is basically part of our strategy to allow us to concentrate on what Mongoose is good at, while still maintaining a presence in the markets we very much want to be a part of - the passing of the Wargaming Online torch to OneBookShelf/Drivethru is another example.

Anyway, consider this a renaissance for CTA, and look forward to some new events a little later this year held by our Swindon and Ohio staff!

Hmm, I think there is just one more 'biggie' for us to announce over the next few weeks - have to start working on more projects!

Hey Matt,

Maybe a longshot...but hey!

Does this mean that 'War without end' is a possibility?

I have battalions of Narn, Centauri, EA and Minbari to unleash....

And working on a B5 mod for Evolution for that total B5 Campaign... :D

This doesn't mean the Drakh will get re-re-done will they?

So if they have the moulds, how does this affect those of us that are still waiting to receive replacement parts for miscast models?

Happy days, indeed. :D

So we get miniatures back, and people bought some fleets at 20% off. Can't be bad, really, whichever way you slice it.

Very happy to hear an official confirmation on this!

And sorry to steal your thunder; I actually waited about 5 minutes after reading the e-mail before posting. Do you know that expression of glee that every child gets on Christmas when basking in the glow of a Christmas tree at 5am Christmas day? My jubilation was somewhere around there, and like any young child, I just couldn't wait.

That, and also knowing that I didn't make $10,000 worth of orders from TSG, so obviously someone else out there was getting that e-mail, so its not like it was a little secret.

Great News.
I'm delighted for everybody, gamers and mongoose.
The possibility of having Fleet action scale return too is excellent news.

Hmmm... the definition of "some" doesn't seem to fit with a few folks I know (including myself) ;-)...

Though it does mean I can eventually build up the smaller fleets I have to more respectable levels at some point, though my Centauri are way past respectable now and border on the ridiculous. I take comfort in knowing that regardless how much I spent over the last few months there are at least a couple people who I know have overall spent far more than I ever did. Yes, I'm talking to you, dag'karlove ;-).

Another positive thing is that this means some fleets with ships I think look very cool, but aren't up to par with others fleets with regard to rules may indeed get official updates (I'm thinking Abbai here) sometime in the future to make them more playable.

Cheers, Gary

We can but hope for these things. I personally want to see all the canon ships not just usuable but desirable. Not over the top and broken, but decent ships.

I agree. I'd presonnaly be happy with all the ships seen in the show, especially the ones frequently featured (Omega, G'Quan, Primus, Sharlin) to be just a little above par compared to the rest. I like seeing fleets the LOOK like what we saw in the show

I don't want to see them above par, but competitive, so you have to think about what you'll choose - do I take the canonical Primus, or the advanced Dargan or Liati? They're all useful! That's how you should think...

I'm not talking 'easily out class anything at its PL' but rather just 'strong at its PL'

Some are there, the Sharlin, for isntance, I think performs well. The Omega is decent, but not great. The G'quan is considered a waste. Also, having these ships strong at their PL isn't going to mean thats all you take. They still need their support. The G'Quan, for instance, if it was made a better long range hard hitter (what its roll LOOKS like it should be, but it lacks) with its secondaries left lacking, it would still need an escort to protect it when things came to that middle ground.
