Would The Imperium be angered?

Postby JMISBEST » Sun Dec 29, 2019 12:16 pm

I've been playing The Classic 90's PC Game Total Annihilation and want to know how angry do you think The Imperium would be about A Small Core Fleet showing up in The Trojan Reach after A 20 Millenium Trip and start bossing everyone around cos 44 Millenium ago they ruled what is now known as all of Charted Space and expect them to undergo, forcefully if needed, the transfer of their minds from Flesh to Machine in order to guarantee the immortality of all life

By small I mean 12 800 ton scouts, 7 2,000 ton Escorts, 4 6,000 ton carriers, 2 12,000 repair Ships and 2 23,000 ton Cruisers that range from TL 15 to TL 17

Oh, I don't think "angry" would even begin to come close to what the Imperium would feel about such an event. In fact, I think the Zhodani, Sword Worlders, and possibly even the Vargr would want to be in on the debate with the Traveller equivalent of Borg. The Aslani would definitely take part, assuming any of them survived the Trojan Reach's Great Assimilation.

Those in the Imperium not opposed to transcendence or cybernetics would have no issue with Cavedog in their yard.

I think Strephon would abdicate in their favour
