Whats Mongoose Publishing planning next?
After the thread about discussing possible releases was folded into this one I figured a thread to discuss and maybe have some news on what might be on the horizon for Mongoose Publishing was on the cards.
So when will Monster of Legend II be released in print?
Is the new Monsters of Legend I new printing include all of the errata from the previous version?
Heard anything about Historia Rodentia?
And what would the rest of you would like to hear about?

I would like to know what's happening with the Elric line.
Has it been dropped or not?
This has been asked in the Legend forum, but no answer. so maybe someone will see it here in general discussion.

If it has been dropped, does that mean that we will not be getting the follow up to Secrets of the Steppes?

I take it from the refusal to answer or even acknowledge the question with either a Yes, No or we don't know yet that it's probably dead.
Would have been nice to actually get an answer of some sort seeing as several people have asked now and only receive a wall of silence.
Oh well, nothing to see here, move on....

Sorry, been tied up for a while - I regret to say there will be no further Elric books forthcoming in the foreseeable future.

Well, blast.msprange wrote:I regret to say there will be no further Elric books forthcoming in the foreseeable future.
Any chance of a "Runes of Legend' supplement? I use Rune magic from Elric as Egyptian magic in my fantasy earth setting. It's a good system, and I'd like to see it continued.
Sorry that we won't be back in the Young Kingdoms for awhile... I like that place.

Thanks for the heads up.
So is Mongoose dropping the license or passing it on somewhere else?
What if someone else wanted to publish Elric material?

That's a shame, Secrets of the Steppes was very good and Talons of Winter looked very promising indeed.

I have not written anything on Elric RPG for over a year now, though I would love it if someone could keep the License alive as there are lots of Young Kingdom locations, creatures and spells still awaiting inclusion in a published RPG.
Re: Whats Mongoose Publishing planning next?
Will there be a State of the Mongoose this year? Always make interesting behind-the-scenes reading, especially given what seems like a major realignment towards being primarily a miniatures company rather than an RPG one.
No criticism intended there, btw. Adapt and survive and all that. I would like to hear some positive Paranoia news though

There will indeed, and you will find out the re-alignment is not quite what you think it isDanforth wrote:Will there be a State of the Mongoose this year? I have a suggestion inspired by madness and genius. How about doing a Fallout sourcebook for Traveller?

Already been discussed - that and an Elder Scrolls/Oblivion/Skyrim book for Legend (they are both from the same company)!towerwarlock wrote:I have a suggestion inspired by madness and genius. How about doing a Fallout sourcebook for Traveller?
Unfortunately, they decided that it was too much work to support an RPG (which is the same reason you won't see a Mass Effect RPG either...).

Turns out someone did it. However they were forced to change the name by Bethesda. It is now called the "Exodus post-apocalyptic RPG"
