Wondering where a particular book, game or project is on our production schedule? This is a brief summary, which we will come back to update periodically, giving the latest updates on future releases.

Victory at Sea
Full development has started on Victory at Sea 2.0, which will come with a dedicated miniatures range at 1/1800 scale. Release date is currently projected as 'probably summer 2013' though you will see models before then. The ships are already starting to appear.

Project Vietnam
Slow-burner, collating background and army list data at the moment. No set release date. Will use a variant of the Battlefield Evolution/Starship Troopers system.

Project Stalingrad
Another slow-burner with no release date. No miniatures support is planned for this one (we recommend Warlord Games!), so just a book. Likely to appear before anything Vietnam.

Rattenkreig
Another game using the BF Evo/SST system, this is being done in conjunction with On The Lamb Games. No release date set yet, possibly a bottom end of 2013 game.

ACTA: Star Fleet - Battle Groups
The first printed supplement for A Call to Arms: Star Fleet, Battle Groups introduces new ships, new fleets and lots more scenarios. Expanded Orion and Tholian fleets are a dead cert, other fleets are being playtested. Stay tuned to the Fleet Updates for sneak peeks and playtyest material.

Reality Tech Storm (working title)
Our 6mm sci-fi game. Currently on hold due to some physical production issues (would be best in plastic but a massive investment as we will need a lot). This rules set may well pop up in another game system before Reality Tech Storm appears. That other game system beginning to look more and more likely...

Vx Racing
A game originally planned for an S&P preview (like we did with Victory at Sea way back when), but we could never settle on the design of the miniatures. Having another crack at this. Now undergoing a concept change, to focus on automotive conflict away from the cities. Many of the concepts of this game have been transferred to Blue Shift.

Blue Shift
Was Neon Reaver. An odd project that has leapfrogged over several others, this will be set in the same universe as Reality Tech Storm, though has a much tighter focus. Most 3D modelling has been done, currently tweaking the rules. Preliminary playtests have been incredibly smooth, pointing towards a good game!

Demontide
Just an idea at the moment, but using a lot of the art and concepts of our old Infernum game, coupled with the Battlefield Evolution system. As for who the demons will all be fighting, we are thinking either modern Earth or near future Earth, possibly using the original Battlefield Evolution as a base (funny how things go around!).

Noble Armada
Next fleet will be the League, with likely the Empire following it. Will start to appear this Summer.

I wonder if...!!!

Naw... couldn't be.

Matt,

When is Project R** scheduled to be revealed? I'm curious what manor of 6mm game you have cooked up in your evil laboratories.

I'm also interested in Project R (or should that be Project RT? I hope so...)

Humm... being American I have never heard of this but the question is, its been said that Project R** is being done in 6mm. Now to me that says massive troop scale, is Rogue Trooper do'able in that scale?

Just as a side note, if we were to do Rogue Trooper, it would likely be in 15mm...

From the very few pictures I was able to find of Rogue Trouper that seems a decent scale in 15mm. It seems like a small tactical scale at the platoon level.

Alright guys were going to figure Matt out before the big unveil :) Now here is what we know. Its a 6mm miniature game that starts with R. Not much to go on, or is it? First off Project R narrows things a bit, the number of games and RPG setting that start with R over the past twenty years is quite small. Also there is the 6mm scale. As I said before this would seem to indicate a massive scale. Troops would be about half the size of Flames of War, so were talking pretty small. It would be easy to represent entire companies of Infantry, Brigades of Armor etc.. The next clue is the name Project R**, take note of the R** why didn't Matt just call it Project R? Obviously he could just be messing with us, but more likely that represents something. The Last clue is Matt said this was something they had been working on for a long time and were finally going ahead with. I take this to mean this setting is probably a little obscure and has required a bit of negotiation to track down all the parties involved in its licensing. You will note that I am assuming Mongoose is producing someone Else's license rather than creating an entirely new setting. Lastly its just a gut feeling, but I don't think this will be a fantasy setting for no other reason than there are SO many of those on the market in every scale imaginable.

Alright guessing time...

My top two picks based on all the clues I have mentioned above are.

Robotech:
this was a major hit anime from the early 80's which has a major cult following. No miniature games has ever been done for it, despite a solid number of mecha that could be modeled. However I don't think 6mm is the proper scale for it, perhaps 15 or 20mm.

Renegade Legion: This is another 80's item, it was produced by FASA and did include a space and ground combat game as well as an interesting RPG. 6mm would work very well for the ground combat component as the military campaign in the setting were quite extensive. Still its an old and almost unknown license to be resurrected so many years later...

Robotech also occurred to me - Palladium used to have the RPG license, don't know if they still do or not (could be a good Traveller license if not) but would certainly be a good wargame and 6mm would be needed to fit that many enemies on the table... those Valkerie can kick out some missiles... and R*** could be Robo...

Not to mention the recent (in terms of years) return of the franchise with the film and more on the horizon...

I was trying to think of a license that tied in with Noble Armada though - it would make sense to tie the two together and bring out some troop carriers or transports or similar for NA...

I just know that Matt's sitting there giggling at us... I just know it...

Partly because that's what I'd be doing in his place...

Edit: Renegade Legion could be a possible - after all, Mongoose does seem to be moving towards relatively obscure titles...

Another possible that could be out there, but not unheard of as a collaboration - Rifts? Palladium don't do wargames, just their RPG lines...?

15mm is a popular scale, and more and more SF minis are becoming available.

Rogue trooper in 15mm would be very very nice.

Rifts had crossed my mind as well. However that is a distinct Palladium property, which isn't to say Mongoose couldn't get permission to do a miniature line for them. Its a deep setting, actually a bit silly seeing as things from all over time and space end up on a devastated earth. But from a miniature game standpoint it would offer almost endless army possibilities, from massive robots, to hoards of genetically engineered Dog-Boys, to alternate dimension aliens.

Frankly it really could be any of the three, and all would make good miniature games. Lots of sides, diversity of units, epic scale, and not one of them has been done as a good miniature game before. The question is... did mongoose acquire the license for it?

On a side note Matt, if it turns out to be Robotech, I'm flying to England to punch you... releasing Star Fleet and that within six months of each other would bankrupt me. Then I'd have to shake your hand on releasing two such amazing products.

...talk about conflicting emotions.

Did some digging and found this old thread...

http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=27823&sid=07681a322aad5d1ebcd49ac8977c007c

Where people discussed using the Evo rules for Robotech... wonder if that might have inspired things...?

Not to mention the proposed live action film (well, it might be in production by now) and the delayed sequel to Shadow Chronicles, Shadow Rising.

Come on Matt... how about putting us out of our misery, eh? :)
